And while the Black Widow prequel movie wasn’t one of Marvel’s best or most lucrative movies, it did conclude the story of Natasha Romanoff in the MCU, and introduced us to some new characters we are going to see in some of the upcoming movies. But, this article won’t be about the movie itself, as it is going to be about the complex creative process that led to the final product, as IndieWire had a talk with one of the story co-writers Ned Benson, who joined the production at a later date, rewriting the original pitch, but even his version did not end up being the final one.
Ned Benson had a short talk with IndieWire about a potential return to the MCU, seeing how his original collaboration with the large cinematic project didn’t turn out to be the best, but it seems that the filmmaker...

Daredevil: Born Again has gone through several changes following its creative overhaul in late 2023. From getting Dario Scardapane, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead onboard to lead the series, and bringing back Karen and Foggy, to the recent return of Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, the show went through numerous favorable changes. However, it looks like this revamp has also concerned the fans about some characters being written off from the show.
Charlie Cox as Daredevil in a still from She-Hulk: Attorney At Law
Charlie Cox’s Daredevil: Born Again is one of the most important projects in MCU’s future. It will bring back the fan-favorite iteration of the Man Without Fear from Netflix to the canonical MCU. Initially, the series was going on a very different route before Kevin Feige and the other executives understood that it would not work and decided to revamp the entire team.

Hasbro recently made several announcements regarding Disney-owned properties. While it’s not surprising to see new Star Wars Black Series and Marvel Legends figures come to market, it was surprising that the company would continue with some other retro-inspired lines.
Toy Biz had a shakey start in the late 1980s with a lackluster Batman ’89 toy line but eventually gained its stride with an excellent X-Men action figure series. Hasbro has been reviving the old ToyBiz style of packaging and IPs, one of which is the Fox Kids Iron Man animated series.
I was pretty sure this line was going to be discontinued. It was impossible to find, and aside from the proton cannon set that lets you recreate Iron Man’s Marvel Vs Capcom ultimate attack, it felt underwhelming.
According to Toyark‘s coverage of Wondercon, Hasbro isn’t done with the series yet. The best part of the next...

Every year brings fresh rumors about the development of a ‘World War Hulk’ movie. These rumors have persisted for years without any sign of resolution.

A Stephen King horror story about a malevolent (sort of) doll almost sounds like something that could've been written specifically for James Wan to turn into a movie. But while the filmmaker behind "Saw," "Insidious," "The Conjuring," and "Malignant" is indeed involved in adapting "The Monkey" -- a short story King wrote for Gallery magazine in 1980 before later including it in his 1985 collection "Skeleton Crew" -- for the screen, he's only lending his services as a producer.
Instead, "The Monkey" is being written and directed by Osgood "Oz" Perkins, son of "Psycho" actor Anthony Perkins and the mind behind such creepily atmospheric and inventively stylized horror pictures as "The Blackcoat's Daughter," "I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House," and "Gretel & Hansel". Osgood Perkins is also currently riding high thanks to the buzz around "Longlegs," his upcoming occult serial killer horror-thriller that boasts one of the most intriguing trailers in recent memory.

The fight to land two seats on Disney’s board is still ongoing and Nelson Peltz is hitting the global entertainment company with everything he’s got. In his newest round of attacks, he’s called the company’s strategy too “woke” that it’s eroding the very concept of entertainment.
Nelson Peltz Blasts “The Marvels” And “Black Panther” As “Woke” Films
Watch out Kevin Feige, because Nelson Peltz isn’t only after Disney’s CEO Bob Iger. In a recent interview with The Financial Times, Peltz attacked the Marvel chief, accusing him of focusing on the “woke” aspects of reality rather than thriving to making pure entertainment instead.
While he claims he isn’t looking forward to unseating any of them – that is Bob Iger and Kevin Feige – he did share his belief that the company’s mindset will need to shift if it still wants to remain the entertainment giant it is today.

Camp will play both Raegan and Maddie Lockwood, twin sisters-in-law to Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley). The characters are described as follows: “Raegan is the cunning, cutthroat CFO of the Lockwood Corp who has her eyes on the throne and will crush any adversary…be them family or not. When most people think of actor Josh Segarra, they likely think of the lovable himbos he’s become known for. From Lance in The Other Two to Pug in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law to Manny in Abbott Elementary, and even Danny in Scream VI, Segarra’s recent roles may not all be the sharpest tools in the shed, but there’s no denying that they’re all kind and loyal at their core. But before Segarra became known for playing these appealing dudes, he took a turn as Arrow’s scariest villain.

“What the hell’s a mutant?”
Over 30 years ago, Canadian voice actor Cal Dodd auditioned for Project X, an animated show at the now-defunct Fox Kids – a children’s programming block known in the ‘90s for Saturday morning cartoons. He was up for a character called Wolverine, and he read lines for a scene with someone named Sabretooth.
“Is this an animal cartoon?” he recalls wondering as he stood in a vocal booth in Toronto.
Meanwhile in the U.S., Alison Sealy-Smith couldn’t believe she was stooping so low for her role.
“I had no idea what this was about,” she says. “They told me it was a cartoon. I felt a little quiver because I was supposed to be this serious actress. I was out in Connecticut doing Shakespeare at the time. I had no idea what I was getting myself into.”

MCU’s attempts to change how studios approached TV has been a hit or miss, as apart from Loki and a few exceptions, the reception to most Disney Plus MCU shows has been mixed. And it seems the failure of high-budget shows like She-Hulk and Secret Invasion was the last nail in the coffin, as moving forward, the studio will be approaching the medium more traditionally.
This resulted in MCU’s upcoming show, Daredevil Born Again, starring Charlie Cox, undergoing a complete overhaul, with its production going back to square one. Fortunately, this resulted in two fan favorites from the original show being incorporated into the new one, and Cox couldn’t be happier about the matter.

Following Daredevil: Born Again‘s initial announcement, it was revealed Foggy and Karen weren’t going to be jumping ships from Netflix to the MCU.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the most talked-about upcoming movie. This is because it’s Deadpool’s first appearance in the MCU and because there’s a lot of excitement about possibly seeing mutants from Fox’s X-Men series and other overlooked characters. Fans are now eager for any project that might include X-Men, as these characters are some of the most loved in comic book history. With the movie set to bring in the most mutants the MCU has seen yet, we thought we’d check out the mutants that have already been confirmed.
1. Ms. Marvel (‘Ms. Marvel’)
In the comics, Kamala Khan was originally not a mutant but an Inhuman. However, when she first appeared in the MCU, it was revealed that her powers are due to genetic mutations. After that, she was also changed to a mutant in the comic books.
2. El Aguila & Mr. Immortal (‘She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’)

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the hottest upcoming release. Partly due to being Deadpool’s first foray into the MCU and partly due to the movie being incredibly hyped due to the potential presence of mutants from Fox’s X-Men franchise and other forgotten characters. Now the fans are excited for any project that could potentially feature X-Men since those characters are some of the most beloved in the comics history. Since the movie will introduce the largest quantity of mutants to the MCU so far, we decided to take a look at the confirmed mutants we already have.
1. Kamala Khan – Ms. Marvel (Debut: Ms. Marvel)
Now Kamala Khan was never a mutant in the comics she was always inhuman but during her debut in the MCU, it was confirmed that her powers came from genetic mutations. Since then, she was rewritten as a mutant in the comics as well.

Dan Harmon has established a pretty neat little entertainment empire, creating the beloved cult hit "Community" before co-creating "Rick and Morty" and overseeing Apple TV+'s "Strange Planet" and Fox's "Krapopolis." But it's been a rocky road to success for Harmon, who was previously kicked off his own show before being rehired, and in 2018 had to publicly apologize for his prior mistreatment of "Community" writer Megan Ganz — and those are just a couple of examples of the man's controversies. Despite these debacles, however, Harmon has been an entertainment mainstay for well over a decade at this point, and during that time he's not only managed to create several of his own successful shows, but he's also apparently been fairly influential in perhaps the biggest Hollywood success story of the modern era: the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel has had a plethora of franchises over the years but none of them could come close to the popularity matched by Ghost Rider, featuring Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze. The first film was released in 2007 which was a massive hit, and four years later, it got a strange sequel titled Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance. Though it was not a massive hit like the initial film, it was an intriguing watch as the film featured more action and watching Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze and his anti-hero avatar was an absolute blast.

It was heavily rumored that the character would have made its Marvel Cinematic Universe return in a TV Show. However, Marvel Studios decided to discard the character’s much-anticipated return as they butchered a number of popular titles that fans were looking forward to watching.

There have been rumors about a solo Hulk project being in the works in the MCU, specifically World War Hulk, which makes sense given the number of Hulk allies and antagonists that have begun populating the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Liv Tyler will be returning to the MCU as Betty Ross. Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross will now be played by Harrison Ford. The Leader, one of the Hulk’s most notorious villains, is set to make his debut in the MCU as well. The Abomination still roams free (albeit reformed).
Mark Ruffalo as Hulk in a still from Thor: Ragnarok
We also know that Hulk’s half-alien son Skaar exists in the MCU, making his debut in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Given that so many Hulk characters now populate the MCU, World War Hulk rumors have picked up some steam in the past few months.

Chicago – The names “Tj & Dave” are legion in the Chicago entertainment scene. The improvisation duo – T.J. Jagodowski and David Pasquesi – are improv performers who heighten the status of the city as a comedic destination. Now they’re featured in a indie TV pilot that will premiere at SXSW 2024 entitled “Bettendorf Talks.”
The show – produced by Shane Simmons and directed by Jack C. Newell – is a sharp and smart “show within a show” and a workplace comedy regarding the newest (and most unlikely) local talk show to come out of the titular Midwestern Quad City. Hosted by the “has been” comedy duo T.J. Jagodowski and David Pasquesi (who star as caricatures of themselves), the two attempt to mount a hit show in search of a sliver in their former glory. Other featured performers include Tim Kazurinsky, Sadieh Rifal, Brian King. Cassie Kramer, Nnamdi Ngwe, Emma Pope and Ike Reilly.

Actor Mark Ruffalo has been in the MCU since 2012’s The Avengers. Playing Dr. Bruce Banner a.k.a Hulk, the actor took over from actor Edward Norton after the latter had issues with Marvel during the film The Incredible Hulk. Though Ruffalo has not received a standalone Hulk film yet, the actor has been an irreplaceable part of the Avengers.
While Mark Ruffalo has been extremely loyal to the fanbase and the franchise, he recently came under fire for seemingly criticizing Marvel’s new approach to content production. In an interview with GQ, he seemed to have ruffled a few feathers by saying that the pre-Disney Plus MCU had more ‘mystique’ around it and could probably never return to the way it was.

Daredevil: Born Again will greatly contrast its original Netflix series. As new reports and theories indicate, the upcoming MCU show for Disney+ may have events beyond what the predecessor series had not dared to attempt.
Charlie Cox as Daredevil in She-Hulk
Also, the show is expected to be darker and grittier. As the show’s episodes are being filmed, reports indicate that the new show may witness the saddest MCU death in recent times. It could be very hard for the MCU fans.
SUGGESTEDLeaked Video From Daredevil: Born Again Set Confirms MCU Appearances of Two Major Marvel Characters

Foggy Nelson and Karen Page with Matt Murdock in Netflix’s Daredevil
Marvel Studios may have been gambling with characters as they have reportedly shifted their focus to Daredevil’s feud with Kingpin more than anything. However, there will not just be one villain.

As movies and TV shows have become the dominant mode of superhero storytelling, some comic writers have crossed mediums with the characters they pen. Allan Heinberg wrote a brief run on "Wonder Woman" and years later wrote the screenplay for the 2017 "Wonder Woman" movie. Brian Michael Bendis, the defining Marvel Comics writer of the 2000s, sat on Marvel Studios' now-disbanded "creative committee." James Gunn, as the co-head of DC Studios, has brought writer Tom King into the fold.
"Deadpool & Wolverine," which brings the 20th Century Fox side of Marvel into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is the latest example of this; one of the movie's five credited co-writers is Zeb Wells, who also wrote an episode of "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law." For some Marvel Comic fans, however, his name lives in infamy.
Now, Wells' "X-Men" related work is well-regarded. The 18-issue series "Hellions" was like a mutant version of "Suicide Squad...

Ever since Avengers: Endgame came off the theaters, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been steadily declining when it comes to fan interest. While there are huge lists of reasons why it could be happening, from superhero fatigue to fans not liking how many characters are being introduced in a small time frame, it is safe to say that the franchise has fans worried. Projects like She-Hulk, Thor: Love and Thunder, and The Marvels, being referred to as sub-par and outright bad did not help their case.
Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame
In these difficult times for the once great empire, projects like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Loki, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 were a beacon of hope for fans and the franchise alike. There is one upcoming film, however, that could save the MCU from the tragic fate of irrelevance; Deadpool 3, also known as Deadpool & Wolverine.

Following Charlie Cox’s appearance as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil in his standalone Marvel series Daredevil, the actor soon turned the blind superhero into a fan-favorite character. However, following three seasons of the show, and Cox reprising his role for The Defenders, Netflix unfortunately canceled Daredevil and its other Marvel series in 2019.

However, as Kevin Feige had promised that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil would join the MCU, the actor made a beloved cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Following his much-appreciated cameo, as fans began asking for more Daredevil, Marvel announced their plans for an 18-episode Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again. Now, with the ongoing production of the upcoming show, Cox claimed to have one demand that will make comic book fans go gaga over it.

Deadpool 3 has its official title: Deadpool & Wolverine. The first teaser trailer for the movie hit the internet during Super Bowl Lviii, giving superhero film fans their first glimpse at the wackiness it will offer.
One of the biggest reveals from the trailer was confirmation of the longstanding rumor that the Time Variance Authority would appear in the movie. The Time Variance Authority (or Tva for short) is the temporal enforcement organization seen in the Disney+ Loki series, which ensures time flows as it should in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Most people assume Deadpool and Wolverine will be tasked with killing rogue variants of live-action Marvel characters who deviated from the Sacred Timeline. However, a new theory by the YouTube channel New Rockstars suggests they’ll be tasked with fixing the lousy writing and plot holes in various live-action Marvel Studios and Fox superhero films.

In "Avengers: Endgame," it was revealed that the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) had conceived of a way to stay a green-skinned muscle monster at all times while maintaining his ability to think and reason. Prior to this breakthrough, Bruce Banner only turned into the Hulk when he was angry, becoming an unreasoning brute keen only on destroying everything in front of him. Sadly, this development for the Hulk meant that audiences would not be able to see Ruffalo, a very good actor, in person any longer. In "Endgame" and in the TV series "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law," Ruffalo was realized only through motion-capture CGI. It's very good CGI, but it's not Ruffalo's real face. The last time we saw Ruffalo was during a brief spiritual out-of-body experience in "Endgame," and even then, he was a translucent ghost.

She further mentioned: “So I have gotten into trouble before, but I’m not going to go away because of that. Especially for women of colour,...

Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’s Budget Is More Than The Avengers Is Revolting To Netizens (Photo Credit – IMDb)
Marvel undoubtedly spends millions making a film or series, but sometimes they work and flop. One of the MCU shows which cost more than the 2012 MCU film The Avengers. We are talking about She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. It featured Tatiana Maslany in the lead as Jennifer Walters. The Disney+ series received a lot of criticism, and it’s safe to say that people did not enjoy it much, and it is reportedly not returning with a second season.
These Marvel projects have a lot of heavy CGI and hence require a hefty budget, but lately, they are being slammed for bad VFX and mediocre storylines. She-Hulk, aka Jennifer Walters, is a lawyer and cousin of Bruce Banner, aka Hulk. Her character, Deadpool, breaks the fourth wall, which happened so in the series,...

Even though Charlie Cox, who played the Marvel Comics character Matt Murdock / Daredevil on the Daredevil series that was made for the Netflix streaming service (and is now available on Disney+) has since reprised the role in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Vincent D’Onofrio also reprised the role of the villainous Wilson Fisk / Kingpin in the Hawkeye series, it hasn’t been clear whether or not that Daredevil show would really be considered part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity. When the eighteen episode MCU / Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again went into production with Cox and D’Onofrio in the lead roles, it was apparently branching off in directions that wouldn’t exactly match what had been seen in the Netflix show. But then the writers strike hit, causing Daredevil: Born Again to stop filming for a while… and during the break, Marvel executives watched the...

Series star Tatiana Maslany has cast doubt on the chances of a She-Hulk season 2. “I think we blew our budget,” she says. Curiously, the stream on which she said this has vanished from the web.
Premiering in August 2022, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law landed amid a rush of MCU television shows commissioned for Disney+, with Moon Knight and Ms Marvel also emerging on the platform that same year.
As Bob Iger has talked about focusing on ‘quality over quantity’ following a turbulent year for Disney at large, however, it now sounds as though a second season of the legal drama and superhero mash-up won’t happen.
On the intricately-titled Codenames Live! – The New Class comedy show on Twitch (as picked up by Deadline), Maslany was asked directly whether a second season of She-Hulk would one day emerge. Maslany’s response was a simple, “I don’t think so.”

Tatiana Maslany, star of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, doesn’t think a second season of the Marvel series is going to happen.
During a recent interview, Maslany explained the reason as to why she thinks the Disney+ show will not be coming back.
“I don’t think so. I think we blew our budget, and Disney was like, ‘No thanks,'” Maslany said during an appearance on Codenames Live! — The New Class on Twitch.
In She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Maslany starred as Jennifer Walters, an attorney who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases. The nine-episode first season focused on Walters navigating her life as a single woman who is also a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.
Guest appearances from the MCU in the first season included Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong, as well as Jameela Jamil, Josh Segarra, Ginger Gonzaga,...

For my money, "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" is one of the better Marvel Cinematic Universe series to release on Disney+ so far. Like so many other recent MCU titles, you can tell the show suffered from a combination of having to service the greater MCU mythology and the House of Ideas' chaotic approach to film and TV production. Despite all that and only being allowed one hand on the steering wheel, "She-Hulk" head writer Jessica Gao and her fellow creatives still managed to craft a funny and frisky superhero sitcom -- one that even honored its source material's meta ethos with a clever finale that saw Jennifer Walters (a winsome Tatiana Maslany) playfully stick it to Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige. Well, a robotic version of him, anyway.
Unfortunately, with Marvel Studios now in the process of overhauling its approach to developing streaming series, that means any previous MCU shows...
