In particular, brothers Matt and Ross Duffer revealed that Kali (Linnea Berthelsen) will most likely return for Season 3. “It would feel weird that we would’n’t resolve that storyline,” said Matt Duffer. “Chances are high that she comes back.”
Ross Duffer added, “We’re in very early days of Season 3… That’s not an official announcement.”

Closing out Ubisoft’s whirlwind E3 presser this evening was Beyond Good & Evil 2, the long-in-development sequel from Michel Ancel and the team at Ubisoft Montpellier.
It’s real, it has a gritty, M-rated trailer (see above), and it turns out that Ancel’s spacefaring romp is actually a prequel to the 2003 original, one in which players journey to System 3, the “center of interstellar trade and colonization in the Milky Way of the 24th century.” Set within a seamless online playground, it’s fair to say that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is a far cry from the cult original, and it seems that Ancel’s sci-fi title has, in many ways, evolved with the times.
Details of a release window and/or platforms (Nintendo Switch, perhaps?) weren’t disclosed at this early, early stage, which has led to some fans worrying that BGE2 will slip off the radar following tonight’s grand comeback.

If there was ever a time to launch a new Guardians of the Galaxy series, that time is now. At the moment, the world’s attention is on Star-Lord and crew like never before. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hit many international markets last weekend, making a phenomenal $101.2 million, and Us fans are now eagerly awaiting its domestic release on May 5th. Small wonder Marvel Comics chose to re-launch Guardians of the Galaxy this week, right?
It’s clear the new series is designed to take full advantage of the film’s release. Back after the original’s success in 2014, Brian Bendis reworked the Guardians concept to align with the movie. Now, Gerry Duggan’s gone even further. I mean, let’s face it, you’ve got Baby Groot, Star-Lord’s music,...

Sixteen years after its release, author Neil Gaiman's revered and award-winning novel finally hits the television screen as Starz last night debuted their new series, American Gods. Before this, my only experience with Gaiman's work is his graphic novel series Sandman; another story deserving of an adaptation of some sort in the television or film universes. Having heard nothing but great things from friends of mine who have read American Gods, I felt that I should start it myself before the series began. While I have yet to finish, I am far enough in to be able to start the series.
Right off the bat, here's two things I can say regarding the book and the series.
1) This book may be the most "out there" book I have ever read. I have read plenty of sci-fi and fantasy, but this novel takes the cake, bringing me out...

Mass Effect: Andromeda, to say the least, looks incredibly vast with a crazy amount of elements to explore. BioWare’s latest release, which has been five years in the making, promises open world exploration, an expansive storyline, memorable characters, intense combat and deep character progression. From what I have played so far, it looks like it’s not going to disappoint those who are already fans of the series. Although, as someone who has not played a Mass Effect previously, I’ve realised a little knowledge of the previous games will go a long way.
The story begins after your character, Sara or Scott Ryder (or one you can make yourself – which can have hilarious results), wakes up from being cryogenically frozen on a spacecraft called the Hyperion Ark, having made a 634 year journey to the galaxy of Andromeda from the Milky Way (more than 2 million light years apart – I...

BioWare has released yet another gameplay video for Mass Effect: Andromeda, this time trading single-player previews for an in-depth rundown of the sci-fi RPG’s multiplayer. Thanks to various previews shown previously, we’re already well aware that Andromeda‘s multiplayer is going to follow the same general structure first established with Mass Effect 3 – you’ll be tasked with completing various objectives while fending off waves of increasingly difficult enemies along with a handful of other players – but today’s video provides some additional details about the other features that will complement the core gameplay.
One such component will be customization, which has received particular attention. Now able to choose between 25 different character kits, various alien races from both the Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies will be available at launch, with more presumably scheduled to arrive at a later date. Weapons too, just like in Andromeda‘s campaign, will be split between three different archetypes,...

It’s becoming ever more apparent with the arrival of each subsequent trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda that the scope of BioWare’s ambitions for the sci-fi RPG are nearly limitless. Steven Spielberg's mother, Leah Adler, died on Tuesday, according to multiple reports. She was 97.

As promised, BioWare has today released a new gameplay video for Mass Effect: Andromeda that gives fans an in-depth look at the many options their own Pathfinder will have to combat the various threats encountered during exploration of the Andromeda galaxy. Set to continue building on the foundation put down by Mass Effect 3, Andromeda will have fast-paced but strategic combat, with BioWare providing more tools than ever to help you on your way.
Besides the introduction of a “dynamic cover system,” players will now be able to utilize a jump jet pack attached to their suit during battles in order to facilitate mobility and quick terrain traversal, which feeds into the eclectic range of weaponry on offer. Pistols, shotguns, sniper/assault rifles and melee weapons are all showcased in the footage, with BioWare confirming that there are no class restrictions on who can use what.
Additionally, three different weapon types will be available.

The latest trailer aiming to whet your appetite for Mass Effect: Andromeda has been released today, providing the most intimate view yet of the new galaxy players will be exploring come March. Beginning with a rather ominous narration that explains how protagonist Ryder has become stranded in the Milky Way’s neighbouring star system, brief shots of a deactivated Mass Relay from the original trilogy are shown, driving home the concept that Ryder is a very, very long way from home with the prospect of returning a very slim one.
But there’s no use dwelling on the past, Andromeda is home to a brand new threat – the Archon. Belonging to the Kett race, the mysterious character’s motives for causing trouble for Ryder and his crew are unclear, but one thing’s for sure, our new hero certainly hasn’t been welcomed with open arms to this strange new region of space.

On The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 11 Bernadette goes to the hospital (twice) to have her baby, while Amy and Sheldon are interrupted from having sex for the second time ever.
View Slideshow: The Big Bang Theory Photos from "The Birthday Synchronicity"
We don't actually see Bernadette give birth, which is actually a refreshing change from the way a lot of shows handle childbirth.
And often, the birthing scenes are so unrealistic that it can take away from the importance of the scene.
Instead, what happens on "The Birthday Synchronicity" is a focus on the waiting. And the waiting.
And the waiting.
There's also the fact that their initial trip the hospital is too soon, and they're sent home. Even Raj's concerns over getting the timing right of the contractions are pretty realistic.
When they get back home, Raj accidentally lets it slip that the baby is a girl,...

Spacefaring adventure game Elite: Dangerous soars onto PlayStation 4 next year, developer Frontier Games has announced. Having previously been exclusive to PC and Xbox One, Frontier CEO David Braben confirms in a post on Sony’s PlayStation Blog that this particular iteration of the near-limitless exploration game will take full advantage of the PS4’s unique features, including brand new controls “tailored to the DualShock 4.” The controller’s touch pad will allow players to navigate the in-game map of the Milky Way system as well as customize four additional hotkeys for added accessibility.
As an added bonus, full support for the PS4 Pro will also be included, with Braben stating that its architecture allows Frontier “to deliver an experience unlike any other on console.” Tentatively slated for a Q2 release next year, a press release from Frontier (via VideoGamer) says the PS4 version will include the base game as well as...

StardustExile can take many forms. Several major filmmakers from Poland famously followed the Chopin route to France—Walerian Borowczyk, Andrzej Żuławski, to a degree even Krzysztof Kieślowski—while their pugilistic peer Jerzy Skolimowski, as well as Roman Polanski, was ranging even further across Europe and beyond. But the comically-oriented writer-director Andrzej Kondratiuk—an early Polanski co-conspirator, who died in June aged 79—found voluntary geographical exile without leaving his own country. He was able to renew his creative energies in rural isolation, seeking, gaining and retaining true independence amid a political system founded upon collective, communal effort. Kondratiuk’s five-decade career is thus a consistently idiosyncratic and enigmatic one, encompassing eight theatrical features, several shorts and five TV-movies. Among the latter is the work for which he’s now best known—at least at home—the raucous and irresistibly-titled black-and-white superhero/comicbook spoof Hydro-Riddle (Hydrozagadka, 1972), which after hostile initial reactions has...

N7 Day is upon and that can mean but one thing: a celebration of all things Mass Effect. Developer BioWare has been teasing a reveal all morning and sure enough, the all-new and rather stylish cinematic trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda has checked in, showcasing vibrant new worlds, new characters and a new journey set within our galactic neighbour.
Forget Shepard; with Andromeda, BioWare is shifting the focus over to a new protagonist called Ryder – male or female, depending on your preference – also known as the Pathfinder. We also get a fleeting look at the alien menace set to wreak havoc across the galaxy, making for some truly eye-popping spectacle.
Elsewhere, Mass Effect: Andromeda has been confirmed as the cover star of Game Informer‘s new issue, meaning we can expect new details – voice cast, loyalty missions and more – to emerge sooner rather than later. Until then, here’s the...

For the first four decades or so of Terrence Malick’s career, a new movie by the one-of-a-kind filmmaker was exceptionally rare. That’s changed since “The Tree of Life” was released five years ago, but what’s remained the same in Malick’s more prolific years is the awe-inducing nature (no pun intended) of his imagery. That’s especially true of “Voyage of Time: The IMAX Experience,” the writer/director’s new documentary touching on everything from microscopic organisms to the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs.

Tonight Space’s Deepest Secrets looks at the massive black hole that at the center of our galaxy. It is thought that nearly all very large galaxies have supermassive black holes at their center, including the Milky Way. But how do you even go about seeing something that is by its very nature almost impossible to observe directly? Light that crosses a certain point in a black hole called the event horizon cannot escape – but the black hole can been seen in another way. Their immense gravitational pull drags matter from nearby stars and gas clouds. This causes it to swirl around emitting light...read more...

"That's is something I've never seen. A cow in the ocean," one of the page's 41,000 fans writes. "And to make it more real a toddler looking on. It almost seems like a nursery song." Need for Speed isn’t the only EA franchise that’s eyeing a release next year, now that BioWare has confirmed plans to launch Mass Effect: Andromeda during the early stages of 2017.
That places the long-awaited sci-fi sequel in Q1 of EA’s slate – between January 1 to March 31, 2017 – where it will likely be joined by Titanfall 2 and Obsidian’s South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
Aaryn Flynn, General Manager of BioWare, took to the official Mass Effect site to reveal that the creative team requires “the right amount of time” to essentially ensure the sequel is up to snuff.
As we’ve been playing the game at the studio recently, it’s showing us that we’re taking the game in the right direction. But we also know we need the right amount of time to make sure we deliver everything the game can be and should be – that...

The wait for Bioware's Mass Effect: Andromeda seems to be dragging on, especially with so little information on the upcoming RPG revealed (aside from its setting). That may have changed, however, as a plot synopsis leaked from a marketing survey seems to give us the details we crave. Come inside to check it out!
Apparently, EA sent out a marketing survey regarding Bioware's upcoming action RPG, Mass Effect: Andromeda, in which people were given a plot synopsis of the game, some details on it, and asked if they were interested in playing. Thanks to Eurogamer, that synopsis has now leaked online. That said, it's important to not take everything as hard fact.
Surveys like those are often used to judge reactions to potential ideas, which could be changed based on answers, or it may be entirely made up (with no survey ever actually happening). So keep those in mind while...

Does Earth no longer exist in Mass Effect: Andromeda? Has it been destroyed? If not, then why is the human race looking for a new place to call home? Nobody knows the answers to those questions, of if they’re even accurate ones to ask, but a leaked EA marketing survey pertaining to Mass Effect: Andromeda certainly seems to suggest that humans – as a species – are in a bit of a pickle during the events of its story.
The description adorning the top of the survey reads:
Mass Effect: Andromeda takes players to the Andromeda galaxy, far beyond the Milky Way, where players will lead the fight for a new home in hostile territory – where We are the aliens – opposed by a deadly indigenous race bent on stopping us.
Sure, that could be taken to mean that the higher-ups that govern Earth are attempting to get their foot in the door,...

Humans produce somewhere in the region of 2.5 Quintillion bytes of data per day (that’s enough to fill 10 million blu-ray discs), and one of the major challenges we face is figuring out just what to do with it all.
Researchers at the University of Southampton think they might have found a way and have proved, once again, that we’re truly living in the sci-fi future we all imagined as young whippersnappers.
What Is It?
The five-dimensional (5D) digital data disk is capable of storing 360 terabytes (around 14,400 blu-ray discs). What’s more, it will store it for 13.8 billion years which, by the way, is the age of the universe.
To create the discs, a technique called “femtosecond laser writing” is used. This uses a high speed laser to write data in three layers of nanostructured dots just five micrometres apart.

We had pegged Bence Fliegauf‘s latest Lily Lane as a definite 2015 title, but it was not to be. Those familiar with the films of the Hungarian filmmaker may find his style hard to pinpoint. He’s been building a reputation as an experimental filmmaker since 2001’s Talking Heads. Since then, his films regularly screen at Locarno (he won the Golden Leopard with 2007’s Milky Way). His first English language feature, the delightfully bizarre Eva Green film, Womb (2010) saw his audience widen, even as that also faced similar distribution issues. In 2012, Just the Wind snagged him the Silver Berlin Bear (along with several other accolades), and is still without distribution. Favoring strange and unnerving narratives, we’re greatly excited to see he has another project ready for the coming year (see on set pic above), Lily Lane, which the director describes as...

It comes as no surprise that BioWare has chosen N7 Day (their annual celebration of the Mass Effect franchise) as the time to reveal a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda. The video itself is little more than stock footage and a voice over, but it’s interesting that the trailer is narrated by Jennifer Hale, reprising the role of Commander Shepard. Especially since BioWare have stressed before that Shepard will not be featured in Andromeda, telling gamers to “be open-minded” about a Mass Effect title without the commander.
In her speech, Shepard says goodbye and then tells players that “you are the explorer now.” Over footage of humanity’s first steps into space, we travel outwards from earth and out of the Milky Way Galaxy in a CGI teaser centering on a ship that is likely our new protagonist’s craft of choice. There is something magical about the amount of freedom you have while flying through the Milky Way Galaxy. There are more planets to visit than anyone would ever see in a lifetime of play. And with very little structure or goal, it’s easy to feel lost in the openness of space. It’s a confusing mixture of feeling completely free, yet having no clue what to do with it.
That sums up the core problem with Frontier Developments’ Elite: Dangerous, an ambitious space exploration title that found much success on PC, and has now made its way onto Xbox One. Elite: Dangerous provides the entire Milky Way Galaxy to explore, and considering it has been built on a 1:1 scale, it’s absolutely massive. Rhona Mitra, John Rhys Davies, Liam Cunningham, Sophie Wu and Craig Fairbrass also star in the PC space simulator which is actually made up of two components.
