This is definitely a unique home. Build from mud, timber and rocks found on the property the home looks like something from The Hobbit. It's curving and swooping and fits into the land. Really a sculpture. A work of art. I'm not entirely sold on the house however. I need my comforts. I'm not seeing an out house or outdoor shower. I'm not seeing an area for cooking. Those features might be phase 2 for this dwelling. I live in a rural area and am used to cabin living but I still need more amenities. A trip to the outhouse in winter means shoveling snow. It means having a honey bucket in the house to avoid a midnight visit to the loo. Finally, although the plants on the roof are a nice touch they are not from the property as old Gandalf dude claims. The plants are horticultural plants like dahlias and mums. Not entirely sure why they thought no one would notice. Particularly when folks who watch this program are probably aware of this. Washington has a native plant society so what happened.
