Since the first episode of "Lud, zbunjen, normalan" in Croatia, this series has a cult status in my eyes. There are so many funny scenes, adventures of our main characters coupled with brilliant acting on top with legendary Mustafa Nadarevic. He plays the head of Fazlinovic family, Izet. Izet is a very enterprising pensioner who never rests, likes to invest in projects that rarely works, likes to drink and women are still his main interest, even in pose age. There is always something going on with him or around him so he is definitely the reason why this series is so popular and great. His son, Faruk owns a music studio with little profit. The only member of Fazlinovic family that actually works something normal is Damir, Faruk's son and a medical student. The name of the series comes from the main characters, being Izet (Lud-Crazy), Faruk (Zbunjen-Confused) and Damir (Normalan-Normal). They are main characters but how can I forget to add constellation of other brilliant characters like Sefika (maid), Ivana (secretary at studio), Dino (sound technician that always eats), Hadziethemcumurovic (neighbour with his line: '...inače, moj dobri prijatelj...') or Samir (relative of Fazlinovic family that always tricks them). Actors like Senad Basic, Moamer Kasumovic, Milan Pavlovic and others, with legends like Milena Dravic, Vanja Drach or Jelisaveta Sablic are all really great and memorable but the name of Mustafa Nadarevic stands alone. Mustafa is brilliant in this role and he's the only invite you need to watch this show, that has a stellar status in Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro. I just hope that this team of writers and actors will stay unchanged for many seasons to come. My grade for this one is of course 10 or like Izet would say par excellence!

sarajevskamagla15 April 2023I need to note this down: I love Mustafa and I will always love this comedy even though it has been somewhat overtaken by time. Despite that, the script is entertaining and the actors navigate it so well after all these years that they deserve to be honored. I often watch reruns. It's a thoroughly relaxing thing for entertainment, good old-fashioned humor. I'm sorry that there will be few comedies in this genre that are as good as this one after it. It's hard to keep up that pace, and this team has managed to do it. I want to congratulate everyone both backwards and forwards. I recommend every generation to watch it.

Some(and most) of the episodes were removed from YT and i got no idea why but i am loving the series. No matter how old but in my life I'll be able to watch it entirely. Fun, yet entertaining lives of three generations of people, Izet, Faruk and Damir (and later on Dzebra) were, are and gonna always be able to make me laugh on the saddest days. Lovely scenario which makes this comedy tv show pop up from tons of them out there is just one ascpect of these series making it a new go to if you are constantly bored and wanna enjoy an interesting bunch of episodes out there for you.

rmartinosb16 July 2009My only comment on this is that you need to watch just one episode to become an addict. There are many Serbian and Bosnian movies and series but this is the top !!! Good work, gentlemen!!!! Mustafa Nadarevic is actor-legend in the Balkans and this is his masterpiece. He can act every sorts of different and difficult roles and this is the type of an actor that is the most difficult to find. You must have god given talent, experience and professionality and he got all of that. Maybe this wouldn't be so funny for someone who isn't living in ex-Yu countries but you will see that Mr. Nadarevic is brilliant actor. It is the shame that he didn't made international career. Ten stars for Lud, zbunjen, normalan ( Crazy, Confused, Normal)!!!!!

wqxyzcj8 March 2013*This review contains spoilers* Show features lives of three (later four) generations of men from one family living in same apartment: Izet Fazilinović, in late 60's, retired construction worker Faruk Fazilinović, in late 40's, unsuccessful music producer, Izet's son Damir Fazilinović, in 20's, medicine student and later doctor, Faruk's son and Izet's grandson Later on, Damir's son, Debra, is born, becoming Faruk's grandson and Izet grand- grandson. Title is based on personality of first three main characters: Izet (crazy), Faruk (confused) and Damir (normal). Comedy is largely based on situation comedy, about characters mistaking each others ideas and plans or accidentally cross-doing them, which usually results in disasters, but hilarious ones. Izet is definitely the best character, not by his deeds, but by his development. He is worse than any stereotype about evil old man: he is womanizer, alcoholic, cigar smoking, greedy, cheap, communist, atheist, homophobic, coward, selfish and sarcastic, but he is still hilarious and lovable character. He strongly disapproves his son still living with him, literally saying:"There's no such thing even in animal world! Bird comes out of egg and after half of year it flies away, puppy starts living on his own after few months, I have some sort of reptile !" Eventually, grandson moves away, but son still stays. Chombe is also great recurring (almost main) character. He is Faruk's sort-of friend and unsuccessful song-writer and singer. From season 4, he works in Faruk's music studio and runs radio show with another, even less intelligent employee Refko. There is also episode in which Izet and his friend, doctor, barbecue on balcony of his apartment and rips few pages of his grandson's book for fire, and Damur makes deal with Chombe about photo-copyng the book. Izet's friends gives him backing soda for hungover, which he hides in dwar in living room. Damir's girlfriend, also medicine student, dumps few injections from her purse, left prom practicing, in trash can in kitchen. Faruk hears Damir's and Chimbe's conversation about book and realizes it as talk about drug job. Damir fails on exam due to missing pages from book. Faruk meets Damir's professor who tells him so. He starts thinking even strongly that Damir is using drugs. He searches his room and founds nothing. He then searches living room and founds backing soda, and think it is cocaine. Izet founds injections in trash can and thinks that Faruk is using drugs again. They both call Izet's friend for help, unaware of each other's wrong findings, till the end. Can you imagine the better plot?

fin-stranica11 March 2012Although the first, second, somehow third seasons were interesting and there were funny moments, 4., 5. and now 6. season is absolute garbage. Episodes are uninteresting, script is boring, acting became unconvincing and irritating and most of jokes and funny stuff are repeating from some previous episodes.
I don't know why is this show still on?! It's like writer and director are trying to prove us that this show is still funny and that changing actors and bringing some new can make it good as it was in 1. and 2. season?! Even if they could bring some Academy Awards actors that wouldn't help them to make it better. This should be ended with season 3 and that's it. All the humor was in these, later it is just a big step backward, and all story became like some low-budget amateur movie.
I don't know how producers could even support making the new season, which is, so far the worst. (Most of new episodes have flashback from old episodes) This show (particularly half of 4., and all 5. and 6. season) doesn't make sense anymore. It has no humor, it has stupid and boring script! End this show, while the series still has some dignity of old glory...Otherwise you'll destroy it completely. -

Bosnia and Herzegovina is my home country and as I grown up there I can only say that this TV show is actually reality and of course on a positive side of it. Bosnia's and Herzegovina's if you allow me to say, we always had a no good but very great sense of humour. After years and years of dramas on the cinemas screens in B&H (caused by the war in the beginning of nineties) finally Crazy, Confused, Normal came out of nowhere. It is pure piece of art that will make everyone happy and laughing but I mean EVERYONE!!! Crew is perfect especially three main characters are adorable, tremendous, unrepeatable also the rest of the team nothing less than an above what's said. Kind recommendations for anyone who wants to enjoy in a excellent TV series especially for people outside of Ex Yu region if you can find subtitle. Wish you all the best.
