In the scene where Oliver and Polonius attack Scott in his room, the newspaper Theu looks at is a real Danish paper - on the back it reads: 'Super offers for the East' = travel offers.

At the start of the film is a quick view of Copenhagen: Nyhavn, The little Mermaid and Amalienborg palace - which is the residence of the Danish royal family.

The outside of Christiansborg palace is referred to as 'the residence of the Prime Minister', Polonius - in real life it houses the folketing (the Danish Parliament.)

The building shown in the film to house the Folketing (the Danish Parliament) is in fact the University of Copenhagen - founded 1479. The shown imposing building, however, was built in 1831.
