Men on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown

This movie is a bad joke. Not funny at all even with a cast of famous French actors.

I don't understand how accomplished actors like Thierry Lherrmite could loose time in such a movie. The scenario seems to have been written on a post it, it's like actors are improvising all the time without written scenario.

I'm very disappointed as I paid $4.99 for such a bad movie. I almost would say is not honest to ask people to pay for this kind of movie.

So, except if you really don't know what to do during 97 mins, if you already watched all movies proposed by all VOD platforms, don't waste your time. Go away!

.... at first it seemed to me it was taking the p.ss out of The Growth Movement a sort of a copy and paste of the values and techniques of The Esalen Institute and all of the hippie/alternative/New Age/Growth techniques of the last 60 years merged into a big ball and displayed before us to gawp and laugh at ....

Then within 15/20 mn I realised it was not a mockery ... it meant to really show what good can come of these methods this type of therapy Nature+Breathing techniques/SweatLodge/Hallucinogens/sharing/talking therapies

Thing is it falls apart a little since the mainstream actors here are clearly out of their depth

Marina looks very clumsy ... the other guys all hugely brilliant each one of them too are awfully gauche in this setup so it does never really fullly gel

It has its moments tho, and nature around them really helps .... it also goes to an all-is-well-that-ends-well outcome which is quite saccharine and trite

So overall the score given here by viewers (as almost always on Imdb) really is accurate ....

Non-professional actors instead of VERY well-known faces would probably have worked better here .... but if some of these techniques can seep into the mainstream this way something good and fruitful will have been achieved by the Director here ... hopefully.
