  • Warning: Spoilers
The title "Peaky Blinders - Remake" here should be telling enough for you to know what to expect. Even I who has not seen the show Peaky Blinders (yet?) has heard of it and here they play a scene that thematically could have been taken right out of said television series. I cannot say if said scene really existed in this show, but it is not important anyway as this effort here should be evaluated as an individual project anyway. It is a French production despite being in the English language and runs for six minutes and like the show it is clearly set many decades in the past. We have a trio of men who take another guy away from civilization into the green. The bleeding wound at his head indicates thatg tehy knocked him out and now they are ready to execute him as the whole that is gonna be his grave has already been dug. But there is a twist at the end. No need to go into detail. If there was anything exciting about this little movie, then said twist. The lead actor is okay, although slightly in danger of going over the top, especially during his screaming moment. The guy who fires at the end was good I felt, although one before that (not sure it was the same actor) was not so good with his line delivery. Despite what happens at the very end, the three feel basically interchangable to me, not only because of their clothes. I did like that there was a little epilogue after the plot twist to close the movie. Nonetheless probably I'd say this is only worth seeing for those who are related to the actors in here because it did not impress me much and did not really make me curious about the original show either, probably because I am not the biggest Cillian Murphy fan. But yeah, this one shall not be the subject now as I explained earlier already. All in all, for a fan film it is okay, by general standards it is weak, so two stars out of five and I don't recommend checking it out.
