  • One "reviewer" says it's not diverse.. a straight mom, is a house mother :-S... In my partying years.. I had partied quite a few places and sometimes in places I had really no clue what was "going on"; nor did I care!.. a few treks in NYC I was taken to a few balls.. This show captures a lot of that feel and atmosphere.. If you like "Pose" you'll love this! Move over "Drag Race", This is Legendary TV!
  • I'm so glad that Murphy/Falchuck opened this up with "POSE". This awesome world that still exists after so much loss and sadness in the 80s. Still here! Yaaa HBO did good in my opinion

If you can't feel the roots and where this came from you can't truly enjoy the entertainment. This is about real FAMILY where biological family is missing for whatever reason. But it's also more. It's about art, self expression, embracing whoever you are an wanna be at your core, acceptance and, most importantly RESPECT. We may have heard many of the terms from RuPaul, but this shows that even shade is respect and in the end everyone is welcome and accepted. This teaches us to be fearless in being our original and true self. Entertainment on fire and a history lesson for me all rolled into one. #respect.
  • OMG !!! I'm so happy for everyone on this show , years of working in ( underground ballroom) have lead to this moment. Keep your heads up and don't feed into any negativity!!!! - like ; wow !!! - this show is great and it's needed very much needed -

And to all of you that I saying this show is sexist, have a seat - This show actually gives you - variety, swag, style, performance , showmanship, theatrics, creativity actual stories from actual people that are in actual underground ballroom. Many of them I know and vogued with back in the day . 💕🙌🏾

This is groundbreaking and history making . Y'all lame ass haters be going up for cramp like " america's got talent" .

    #Legendary #wrestleshadetns
  • Enjoying this so far... Excited to see which team snatches the crown. Love Megan as a guest judge and don't understand the uproar for Jamila being a nudge - who cares??? Anyway, Team Ninja/West/Lanvin!!!

    Amazing
It's so fresh and fun! Love this show. Legendary takes you into the world of voguing dance, and it's definitely not a show made only for LGBTI comunity, everyone should give it a try!
  • So happy that ballroom has been given a space for the world to know its brilliance! I first learned about it in Pose and this Legendary reality competition is a showcase of so much talent and passion from folks from all different walks of life and especially LGBTQ+ members, who overcome so many challenges through their houses, or "chosen" families.

The editing of the show could certainly be improved, and hope more diverse contestants come forward to show their talent!

    A-Game
I don't know where to begin; Dashaun Wesley is unbelievable as a host. He and MikeQ are doing absolutely fantastic job for every single performance. Make up and costume design are sickening!! Design team deserves a big round of applause for doing such successful job for every house and every member. Pace is a little bit too fast for me sometimes. I often rewind not to miss the choreographies. All in all great production!
  • This show is everything and more. Exposure to the community, raw talent, true origin, EVERYTHING! The Houses competing are so awesome that you get emotional seeing them get voted off week after week! Emotions run high in this show.
  • 10s across the board for the ball performers, who have some compelling stories & performances. But I give the chop to the maddening, disorienting, choppy editing - especially of the ballroom performances - trying way to hard to make 'exciting' when the performances are inherently exciting & don't need so many angles that it's hard to follow / see what the performers are actually doing.
  • I watched the first 2 episodes and it's a good show. HBO never disappoints! I look forward to the other episodes!
  • Very cultural, historical, entertaining. Now how does model / judge, Tyson Beckford pull off slouching in that chair thru the whole show? He is 6'-0".
  • The first and second season were so good. They are worth watching. By the third season.... not so much. The judges are giving 10's for performances that don't deserve it and saving groups that don't deserve it with their 'flags'. How does a house make it it to the finals when the are the worst house? By having one single person save them. Is this not about the best house? Is this not about a single house being the best? Eliminating a house because a single person underperformed and keeping around a House that can't perform together it absurd. This is about the best HOUSE. Not the best performer. They lost me during season three. Makioveli should it NO eat be there. Ever. Waste of time and terrible judgement.
  • Honestly the judges are ALL over the board. I understand the show is finding it's groove but it's a mess. It's either rigged or the panel needs more people with ACTUAL ballroom experience to weigh in. I suffered through season one and quit season 2 when I'm my favorite house was sent home. Maybe next time HBO.
  • The first sznnnn with Megan was soo good. But LAW & LEIOMYYYYYY have to stay judges forever! Jameela is like Paula at the American idol but I love her she's so good at being the middle man. Then they added Keke & I DIDNT KNOW I NEEDED HER. Each season gets better and better. Each season winner gets better and better. You can tell the judges aren't choosing based on favoritism or anything. Because each winner has been an absolute fabulous and clean preformers NO LIE . Each guest judge has been great. I've literally watch all three seasons RELIGIOUSLY repeatedly every week since the show dropped!

Fabulous, beautiful and talented groups that perform. This show brings light to a day's end. The only problem I have is sometimes the judges critics can be bland. Add more adjectives to their feedback/judgements. My family and I also had a problem with House West VS House Balmain...both high talents. House St Laurent should of definitely went home but I guess they are just as bland as the judges. Touche'
  • Gets a 10 from me. Love this show. Love jameel and Megan. Its a fun comp.
  • Just got started on season 3 in Denmark , witch I was waiting for since Summer . I love the houses, the ball room , the storytelling . All the energy and how much heart they put to what they do, however it's makes me so sad to se how hostel and mean the judges are , like pure evil 👿 specially Law . Some of the critics are nonsense . Yes I get it , the steaks are high or whatever , but it suddenly becomes to much to watch how harsh the judging is . Specially from Law. Find some other judges , please . He is destroying the good vibe. I needed to writ the review because this show makes me so happy , and yet so sad.
  • Love it - great concept.

Would love it even more if Jamila Jameel didn't look like she was just there for a paycheck lmao.

First season I got excited second season meh they did not judge with the same bar all the houses (example they asked a house for more movement to the parents while the house balen"mel"ciaga gave the mother not danced). Approaching the end I get worse and I don't even tell them. Without lying I fell asleep I just kept watching it because I have dear friends with whom we discussed these series. I left it in chapter 7 and they knew why.
  • They DID what DIDN'T need to be done! The judges in their self serving, egotistical nonsense absolutely killed the vibe of this show. The self glorification was bad enough but to actually stomp on people of color for being confident and secure in themselves was nauseating and only hurts the community MORE than you help it. Don't even get me started on the JOKE guest judges who proclaim to have knowledge of ballroom like they were really connected back in the day.....when they would have been 12 makes me sick. I'm looking at YOU Tiffany Haddish, no talent poser. Y'all need to focus on the culture and the craft of ballroom and check your ego bs at the door cause you BORING.
  • The lack of show structure poor production oversight get in the way of potentially a great concept. The show doesn't know if it wants to be X Factor, RuPaul's Drag Race, a platform and documentary for minority queer and trans youth, a production magic behind the scenes peak of how the sausage is made... so it tries to be all of them. The result is more or less kind of a mess. The show doesn't spend enough time on any of these subjects to allow for the audience to get to know or fall in love with the people and houses at the heart of the show.

Another issue is there is no structure to how the judges reward, eliminate, or provide feedback to the teams. Instead we have a a sloppy setup that makes the judges look like they are not qualified to be there, and or they are judging based off of favorites. The show spends way too much time on the judges and their (mostly negative) "feedback". If this show wants it's Emmy, they better take some notes to more structured shows like RuPaul's Drag Race, and work on the likability of their judges.
  • The show has talented dancers in it. But that's where it ends. They're not really given chance to properly show it. They focus more on the judges to promote them, the MC saying random words, everything else than the actual talent.

And what is shown doesn't seem that talented. I expected a lot more. It seems they just throw tantrums on the floor and try to suck up to the judges instead of shoving what they surely can do. Let's just play dress up and do tantrums because that's what it is. Nah, that's not vogue.

And then let's show more judges and make them kings and queens and let them be arbitrary. I know it's always been arbitrary, but if you make it into a show at least provide some rational feedback instead of obvious "they looked at me a bit wrong so I don't like it."

Not to mention we have to have one judge sing a "song" in the last episode because it's all about them.

Editing is so choppy it makes your head spin. It helps to hide the talent. The MC sa-sa-sasa-saying wo-wo-wowo-wo-words is so annoying. It's just random gibberish. Or maybe I'm just not in the scene and don't see the greatness?

In any case. Pose was good. This isn't. I'm sad that a made up tv show like Pose showed more talent than a show supposedly showing real talent.

I hope it won't get a second season, or if it does it really needs to find a structure and become coherent and focus on the talent.

I'd recommend watching the first season, but don't go much further cause you'll be upset like the rest of us. The first season had me falling in love cause I felt the judging was actually fair. Second season everything fell off. It's very apparent there was favoritism and the judges were just being self serving and egotistical. The whole giving 10 points for a challenge at the end was crazy cause it gave a certain house too much advantage when it wasn't deserved. I, as well as many others, stopped watching after season 2 episode 7 because the house that had been superior since episode one, was in the bottom 2 and lost to a house that was mediocre the entire show. Judging for emotions and not performance and actual talent is trash. I hope we can get an actual ballroom competition show with qualified judges in the future, cause this wasn't it at all. They DIDNT do what NEEDED to be done. Trash, trash, trash.

Made the wrong decision constantly. Leaves the viewer completely frustrated and feeling like you're living on another planet with some of these judgement calls..

P.s. Lanvin should've won not Balmain
