In a wood near a farm, a pair of crows divide their labor: one sits on a nest of eggs, the other looks for food. The foraging crow looks for other nests of eggs, finding several. A hawk, an owl, and a fox are competition. The crow also tries its luck in a hen house. Meanwhile, back at the crows' nest, other predators have their own ideas. Throughout, Pete Smith, off camera, provides wry comment. The poetry of nature is dog eat dog.
