Patricia Arquette recently told “Severance” co-star Adam Scott during a game of “Hot Ones Versus” that her actor ex-husband once screwed her over after they made a pact about doing sex scenes in movies and television shows.
“I was married to somebody at the time and we were very young and impressionable people,” Arquette said. “We made a deal that we were going to eat garlic if we had to do love scenes, so I ate garlic before I had to kiss Ewan McGregor and I’m like, ‘I’m so sorry, but I told my husband I was going to have to eat some garlic.’”
“Then he had to do a love scene and I’m like, ‘Well, did you eat garlic?’ He’s like, ‘I thought we were kidding,’” she continued. “I was like, ‘What?!’”

Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers for Season 2, Episode 4 of “Severance,” streaming now on Apple TV+.
In the latest episode of “Severance,” the innies go outside.
Transported into a vast, icy woodland, Mark (Adam Scott), Helly (Britt Lower), Dylan (Zach Cherry) and Irving (John Turturro) have been sent by Lumon (with their outies’ permission) on an Ortbo — that is, an Outdoor Retreat Team Building Occurrence. With the threatening instruction from Mr. Milchick (Tramell Tillman), the innies embark on a scavenger hunt across the Dieter Eagan National Forest to find a secret text by Lumon founder Kier Eagan. (The text reveals that Kier had a twin brother who died quite dramatically — perhaps a bit of foreshadowing?)
After a long day of traversing, tensions rise at the campfire. Irving interrogates Helly to reveal what she saw during the Otc, and he lashes out at Mark for blindly defending her. Helly fires back,...

Marshmallows, like spoilers, are for team players. This article discusses major plot details from the latest episode of "Severance."
You just never know what you'll get on any given episode of "Severance" ... right? This week, the gang goes on a work retreat to a frigid locale and discovers surprising amounts of new Kier Eagan lore, the joys of creepy campfire stories, and, oh yeah, a back-stabbing mole hidden in their very midst upending everything they thought they knew. That last part, concerning everyone's favorite innie Helly R. (Britt Lower), is the one making all the headlines in the aftermath of episode 4, evocatively titled "Woe's Hollow." Yes, the reveal that the person we thought was Helly R. was actually her outie Helena Eagan is a complete and utter gamechanger. But it wouldn't be entirely accurate to say that nobody saw this coming. In fact, large segments of the ever-observant fandom picked...

Spoilers ahead for “Severance” Season 2, Episode 4.
“Severance” Season 2’s Ortbo wasn’t just an Outdoor Retreat and Team Building Occurrence for its characters. The snow-covered episode unintentionally served as a team-building moment for its cast as well.
“There’s a meta aspect to it,” Britt Lower, who plays Helly in the Apple TV+ original series, told TheWrap. “It had an effect on the characters, and we also had a bit of a team building experience too, as cast and crew. It was a really special experience.”
Unlike most of the office-bound drama, “Woe’s Hollow” takes place outside in the wilderness. Helly, Mark (Adam Scott), Dylan (Zach Cherry) and Irving (John Turturro) all wake up to find their Innies are outside for the first time ever. After they follow a disturbing series of clones of themselves, they’re greeted by their boss Mr. Milchick (Tramell Tillman) who explains this eerie...

The following contains copious, luxury spoilers from Season 2, Episode 4 of Severance, now streaming on Apple TV+.
This week’s episode of Apple TV+’s Severance not only featured the dramatic unmasking of a mole, followed by the termination of an Mdr vet. (Read recap/John Turturro interview.) It also raised some really knotty issues of sexual consent, given that Mark S. The latest episode of Severance, "Woe's Hollow," takes the severed workers of Lumon Industries on a field trip to an icy cold forest where they retrace the steps of Kier Eagan, the company's long-dead, cult leader-like founder. The episode has been praised as one of the best of the show so far. It also blew open the biggest mystery of the season: just what is up with Helly R (Britt Lower)?
Audiences got to know the brave and kind Helly in the first season, but something has been off about her this year. A lot of fans assumed that it wasn't really Helly R we were looking at, but rather Helena Eagan, the person Helly is after she leaves the Lumon basement. Helena, who is high up on the Lumon corporate ladder, was posing as Helly so she could spy on the other "Innies" at the company, fans figured.
And they were right!

Don't try to reintegrate now — this article contains spoilers for "Severance" season 2, including episode 4!
If you're fully locked into the sophomore season of "Severance" but nervous that you might have to wait another three interminable years for the next installment, I have some good news for you. In a recent profile in The Hollywood Reporter, the show's executive producer Ben Stiller revealed that work is already underway on a third season.
The piece states that a writers room is currently assembled and that Stiller "hopes not to keep audiences waiting three years this time," which is definitely welcome news for fans who need more of this trippy, layered mystery box show that's become a phenomenon on Apple TV+. To be clear: Apple TV+ has yet to confirm a third season for the show, but in this writer's opinion, it's all but inevitable; "Severance" is an enormous hit for Apple, and...

This post contains spoilers for "Severance" season 2, episode 4, "Woe's Hollow."
In "Severance," the shadow of Lumon Industries founder Kier Eagan looms large over the severed floor, even though the man has been long dead. Kier's name is spoken with reverence since Lumon functions on his core values and beliefs to this day and reframes workplace ethics through the lens of his teachings. Episode 4 of the show's second season, titled "Woe's Hollow," digs deeper into Kier Eagan lore by revealing snippets about his personal life to the Microdata Refinement (Mdr) team during an uncharacteristic outdoor retreat. This outing, dubbed Outdoor Retreat Team Building Occurrence (Ortbo), completely alters the status quo between the Mdr innies, namely Mark (Adam Scott), Helly (Britt Lower), Irving (John Turturro), and Dylan (Zach Cherry). Mind you, this is no run-of-the-mill team-building exercise, as Kier Eagan's "sacred" texts lie at the center of the tragedy that engulfs the Mdr team,...

This article contains spoilers for "Severance" season 2 episode 4, "Woe's Hollow."
Lumon Industries is up to no good, right? "Severance" loves playing the corporation's mysteries close to the chest, only revealing the very tip of the horrific iceberg when it absolutely must. However, what the Apple TV+ mystery show has revealed of the company's true purpose so far is nothing short of chilling, and "Woe's Hollow" doesn't exactly ease the viewer's spirit.
The episode expands the show's mythology in a number of creepy and characteristically veiled ways, some of which are seen through the eyes of an increasingly unbalanced Irving (John Turturro). After effectively severing ties with the rest of the Macrodata Refinement team during their outdoors team-building retreat, the formerly reliable office drone wanders into the woods to give Mr. Milchick (Tramell Tillman) a piece of his mind. Unfortunately, Irving loses his way and is forced to sleep rough in the dark forest.

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Severance” Season 2, Episode 4, “Woe’s Hollow.” For coverage of earlier episodes, read our previous reviews.]
“Stray not from Kier’s path, lest you roil nature’s wrath.”
Irving (John Turturro) has always been the most devout member of Lumon’s Macrodata Refinement team. Well-versed in the handbook and respectful, if not outright reverent, of the Eagan family mythos, Irving would be the last employee Mr. Milchick (Tramell Tillman) would expect to spoil a company Ortbo (Outdoor Retreat and Team-Building Occurrence) — especially one that’s designed as a reenactment of the founder’s fateful final outing with his secret twin brother.
And yet, it’s Irving who strays from Kier’s path, and thus Irving who sparks the ire of Woe’s Hollow.
In the last few minutes of an eerie, unsettling, and increasingly ominous Episode 4, two shocking developments roll out one right after the other. First, Helly (Britt Lower) is...

This article contains spoilers for "Severance" Season 2, Episode 4, "Woe's Hollow."
"Severance" is rapidly becoming the best show in the game, at least when it comes to creating wild yet oddly plausible fan theories about the true nature of Lumon Industries and its severed employees' predicament. After the previous episode's excursion to the wonderfully-named Mammalians Nurturable goat department, Season 2, Episode 4, "Woe's Hollow," adds plenty more gasoline in the theory fire.
As the innie versions of Mark (Adam Scott), Helly (Britt Lower), Dylan (Zach Cherry), and Irving (John Turturro) find themselves in a strange wintery excursion at a nature reserve that's dripping with ominous Eagan lore, Irving becomes increasingly hostile toward the others and eventually targets Helly. His violent and seemingly genuine threats to drown her ultimately lead to the reveal that Helly's outie, Helena Eagan, has been posing as her innie self for unknown reasons. This is plenty weird in itself.

Our favourite Macrodata Refinement team finds itself in chilly conditions. Here’s our Severance season 2 episode 4 review.
Warning! As always, these reviews are spoiler-free for the week in question but will discuss previous episodes.
Is there a rule that episode four of the second season of an AppleTV+ show has to be the best one yet? Silo’s episode 4 was excellent and now Severance serves us its most ambitious, fascinating episode yet this week too.
The episode begins with a cold open – literally. We open with Irv’s face as he seemingly stands on ice at an unknown, snowy location. He’s alone, but quickly spots Mark on top of a cliff.
If you’re confused, don’t worry; so is the Macrodata Refinement Team. They have no memory of how they’ve ended up in this place or why they’re there. They find an old TV where a...

Atonement director Joe Wright is said to have signed up for Alignment, an AI thriller whose script was purchased for $3m last year.
Writers and filmmakers often talk about the death of the spec script market. But last year, first-time screenwriter Natan Dolan, despite limited Hollywood connections, managed to sell his AI thriller script, Alignment, for a reported $3m.
Months after that acquisition, production company Fifth Season – also behind Film Stories TV favourite, Severance – has found a director. According to Deadline, Joe Wright, perhaps best known for such movies as Atonement and Pride And Prejudice, has taken on the job, which has attracted a great deal of interest from some major names, including Damien Chazelle and Matt Damon.

[Warning: The below and video above contain Major spoilers for Severance Season 2 Episode 4, “Woe’s Hollow.”] Severance undertook one of its most ambitious episodes to date with Season 2’s latest episode, “Woe’s Hollow,” which saw the Mdr team take a work retreat set against the snowy landscape of Dieter Eagan National Forest. The event, referred to as an Ortbo (Outdoor Retreat Team Building Occurrence) by supervisor Seth Milchick (Tramell Tillman), followed Mark (Adam Scott), Helly (Britt Lower), Irving (John Turturro), and Dylan (Zach Cherry) as they ventured around the winter woods and followed mysterious guides and clues to learn the story of Dieter Eagan, Kier’s supposed twin. Unfolding like a fable of sorts, their journey tested their ties as Mdr encountered different obstacles and crosses paths with a dead seal. Ultimately, they were met in the woods by Mr. Milchick, who directed them to a camp with individual tents, a fire, and food put together by young employee...

The latest episode of Severance, "Woe's Hollow," was a big one for John Turturro's character Irving B. It almost feels like he might not be able to come back from it. Let's get into the specifics. Beware Spoilers for Severance below.
In "Woe's Hollow," Irving and the other Innies woke up in a snowy forest. They're on a field trip of sorts, set up by Lumon, where they retrace the steps of Kier Eagan, the messianic founder of the company. All Lumon employees basically treat Kier as a god, and his handbook as the Bible. Irving used to be a true believer, but of all of the Innies, he's become most disillusioned with Lumon and Kier after getting his heart broken in the first season, so he has little patience for this excursion.
Things get pretty real on this trip. Irving has been suspicious of Helly (Britt Lower) ever...

We were left on a massive cliffhanger with Mark’s reintegration last week. However, “Woe’s Hollow,” Episode 4 of Severance Season 2, chooses to keep that reveal close to the chest. Instead, it pushes our favorite Mdr characters into a darker place than one might expect. Hinting at the replaceable nature of life and the unraveling of a few mysteries, “Woe’s Hollow” makes it clear that Severance is the best show on TV.

I want to get my big complaint about this episode out of the way right up top: it doesn't directly follow up on the cliffhanger from Episode 3, with Mark getting reintegrated. I know that Severance trades in mysteries and that it can't give us too many answers too fast, but opting not to tell us anything about Mark's situation (save for one hint we'll get to later) feels like it's pushing things too far. Even with a mystery box show like Severance, the audience will get annoyed if they feel like they're being jerked around.
That said, "Woe's Hollow" does make progress on some other mysteries, and is a uniquely weird watching experience besides. So let's dive into what is quite possibly the most atypical Severance episode yet. Beware major Spoilers below!
Severance review: Season 2, Episode 4, "Woe's Hollow"
We begin with Irving B. snapping into existence on top of a frozen lake.

Note: The following story contains spoilers from “Severance” Season 2, Episode 4.
Kier Eagan remains a shadowy figure at the center of “Severance,” but the latest episode of Season 2 shed some new light on the Lumon founder – if you can trust the source.
Episode 4 finds the Mdr team out of the office, left disoriented and lost in the snowy wilderness. Shortly after they reunite they find an old TV with a message from Milchick (Tramell Tillman) explaining the exercise will teach them more about Lumon founder Kier Eagan.
Eagan wrote a book called “Compliance” which has become the guiding light for all of Lumon. The book and it’s three appendices were about the only literature any Innie experienced. Milchick informs the Mdr team that in the final hours of Kier’s life he dictated a fourth appendix. Milchick informs them it is “a text of such sanctity it is forbidden on the severed floor.

The weirdness quotient in AppleTV+’s science fiction thriller series Severance keeps increasing every week, and season 2 episode 4 takes things a few notches higher with even more unbelievable occurrences. This is the first time that we get to see the Innies anywhere other than inside the Lumon office, and as bizarre as it sounds, they are suddenly made to hike through a forested mountain in search of lore related to the great founder of Lumon, Kier Eagan. Irving also comes to an important realization and acts on it, which has him dealing with grave consequences at the end of the episode.
Spoiler Alert
What exactly happens at the Ortbo?
Severance season 2 episode 4 begins with Innie Irving waking up like usual at the beginning of the workday, only to find himself not inside the elevator at the Lumon building, but instead on a vast frozen field in the middle of nowhere.

The ending of Severance Season 2 episode 4 was about Irving’s efforts to show that [Spoiler Alert] Helena was pretending to be Helly for reasons known to her and her only. The entirety of the episode was a massive departure from the usual format because it threw Mark, “Helly,” Irving, and Dylan out into the great outdoors of Kier Town. There, they encountered their clones, thereby pretty much confirming a long-running fan theory about the real purpose of Lumon. And then they camped with Milchick and Miss Huang, where the former regaled them with stories about Kier and his lesser-known twin, Dieter Eagan. But when “Helly” started making fun of the Eagans’ backstory and Mark joined in, Irving felt really irked. This led to an argument between “Helly” and Irving, as the latter believed that she was lying about her Outie’s life. An offhand remark about Irving and Burt’s failed relationship...

Actor Adam Scott is gearing up for a memorable turn in Osgood Perkins’ The Monkey, but the actor has already lined up his next horror project: the supernatural horror film Hokum from Oddity filmmaker Damian McCarthy, per Variety.
Hokum is set to go into production in Ireland later this month.
In the supernatural horror film, Scott plays “A horror novelist who visits a remote Irish inn to spread his parents’ ashes, unaware the place is rumored to be haunted by a witch.”
Peter Coonan (Bad Sisters) and David Wilmot (Bodkin) star alongside Scott.
The film has some great horror pedigree producing, too, with producers including Spooky Pictures founders Roy Lee (Barbarian) and Steven Schneider (Strange Darling), Image Nation’s Derek Dauchy (Late Night with the Devil), and Tailored Film’s Ruth Treacy, Julianne Forde and Mairtín de Barra (“The Apprentice”). Adam Scott has plenty of experience with the horrific and weird, having starred in the likes of Severance, Little Evil, Krampus, Piranha 3D, and Hellraiser: Bloodline – and now, he’s set to add to his genre résumé, as Variety reports that he has signed on to star in the supernatural horror film Hokum, which is scheduled to start filming on location in Ireland later this month.

Ben Stiller apparently had to fight to get Adam Scott cast in the lead role for “Severance.”
Stiller told The Hollywood Reporter that it was paramount he convince streaming platform Apple TV+ to give Scott the chance to take on the character of Mark S. in the drama series. Stiller, who executive produces the show and directs several episodes, had previously directed Scott in his 2013 film “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.”
“So much of the show [‘Severance’] is based in ‘The Office’ and ‘Parks and Rec’ and ‘Office Space,’ and that genre,” Stiller said, citing Scott’s tenure on NBC sitcom “Parks and Rec,” another workplace comedy. “The humor in the script that [creator] Dan [Erickson] wrote was in that world but had this other layer to it. Casting was about figuring out who could handle that.”
Even Scott knew it was a risk for him to be cast as the lead.

Many iconic fictional characters have a favorite food. Garfield loves lasagna, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles eat nothing but pizza, and Popeye derives super-strength from spinach, thanks to Depression-era government propaganda.
As every Parks and Recreation fan is well aware, Adam Scott’s character, Ben Wyatt, similarly has a go-to preferred meal: calzones.
Ben’s fascination with calzones began when he lost his job in Season Four and took it upon himself to try some new culinary skills (and borderline offensive Italian pronunciations). Sadly his vision for a chain of calzone-focused fast food restaurants, the “Low-Cal Calzone Zone,” never actually came to fruition.
Ben subsequently became a vocal advocate for the cheesy dough, and once used his calzone-making talents to enter a baking contest, even donning a calzone-themed apron for the event — much to the ire of a gang of men’s rights activists.

To Game of Thrones fans, Gwendoline Christie will forever be Brienne of Tarth, stalwart knight of the Seven Kingdoms. But since the end of Game of Thrones, she's branched out in a big way, snagging plum roles in shows like Wednesday, The Sandman and Severance, which is airing its second season on Apple TV+ as we speak.
Christie popped up in the third episode of the second season as Lorne, another severed employee at Lumon Industries. Lorne is the manager of the Mammalians Nurturable department, which is basically a giant indoor grazing field for goats. Lorne confronts Macrodata Refinement workers Mark (Adam Scott) and Helly (Britt Lower) in a tense, creepy, hilarious scene. Christie uses her great height (she's 6'3") and dour glower to great effect here; if Gwendoline Christie wants to intimidate you, you will be intimidated.

Bob Odenkirk is praising Ben Stiller for sticking to his guns more than 35 years ago.
Odenkirk, who was a staff member of “Saturday Night Live” alongside Stiller for just one season, told The Hollywood Reporter that it was “ballsy as hell” of Stiller to exit the famed sketch series. Stiller was a writer and featured performer at age 23 before quitting the show in 1989.
“He was ballsy as hell to walk away from ‘SNL’ and to be able to say with confidence about himself and his career, ‘This isn’t going to work for me. I have to leave here,’” Odenkirk said.

“He was very serious about it, solemn,” Odenkirk said of Stiller’s directing style at the time. “He was talking about...

When Ben Stiller was 8, he visited his father, Jerry, on the set of the movie The Taking of Pelham One Two Three and experienced a kind of epiphany. In the 1974 thriller set in the New York City subway, Jerry, who would enjoy a late-career resurgence 20 years later as Seinfeld‘s Frank Costanza, was playing a transit cop alongside Walter Matthau, and Ben was visiting during a night shoot, as lights on giant cranes shone down on the slick city streets around the Triborough Bridge.
“It was so cool, so cool,” says Stiller, now 59, recalling the scene as he looks out from the offices of his Red Hour Productions in the West Village in mid-January, over a sweeping view of the Hudson River. It’s the same view he had as a child at his family’s apartment on Riverside Drive some 70 blocks north. Jerry and actress Anne Meara, Ben’s mother,...

[This story contains spoilers from season two, episode three of Severance, “Who Is Alive?”]
Once upon a time, Gwendoline Christie was the Goat knight in Westeros. Now, the Game of Thrones veteran is the Goat goat wrangler on Severance.

Back then, it was Mark and Helly (Adam Scott and Britt Lower) who found the first goat, in the arms of a sad man who was not yet ready to part ways with the animal. Now, in season two, it’s Mark and Helly making the discovery again, except this time,...

A new month has dawned, which means it's time to take stock of all the new TV shows and movies coming down the pike. We've been fretting about the future of fantasy and science fiction TV a bit of late, but not to worry: there are still some exciting genre series to check out in February.
While the year overall is pretty stacked with fantasy and sci-fi stuff, February is a bit of a light month. We'll see the return of a gritty animated superhero drama, a new installment in Netflix's ongoing fantasy franchise The Witcher and...the Bible, but Game of Thrones-ified? Yeah, it's gonna be a strange one.

This article contains spoilers for the latest episode of "Severance."
"Severance" is one of the best TV shows of the past decade. It's a brilliant satire about modern corporate life wrapped up in a compelling mystery. Though there have been many, many, many genre series that have tried to replicate the success of "Lost" by building mystery boxes with large casts of characters, exceedingly few have succeeded at it.
What makes "Severance" stand out is that, much like "Lost," the answers to its mysteries are only compelling because we care about its characters. Hence, because the characters have a vested interest in these mysteries, we as viewers also want to solve them. Take Irving's outie (John Turturro); the reason we want to know the truth about the bizarre visions of a dark door plaguing him is because we're already invested in his innie's romance with Burt G. (Christopher Walken...

Delving deeper into the mystery that led to Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Tess Caldwell attempting suicide at the beginning of “Surface” Season 1, the psychological thriller returns Friday, February 21 for eight new episodes.
Shifting setting from San Francisco to London, where her story supposedly began, Season 2 finds Caldwell searching for answers in her past. Will she find them? Watch the trailer at the bottom of this piece to get a hint.
Still suffering from amnesia after jumping off a ship, Caldwell spent the first season remembering her real identity, as she had been referring to herself as Sophie Ellis up to that point. Now that she knows that she’s Tess Caldwell, she’s ready to find out more and must do so by immersing herself in elite British society. It’s there where she reconnects with an heiress who may know more about her than she lets on. However, Caldwell’s...

2025 may be a month old already, but in the world of TV the year is still incredibly young. And so even though we’re already eyes-deep in Severance Season 2 and the second series of Silo on Apple TV+, thwipping all over the place for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man on Disney+, and have comfortably binged American Primeval and Harlan Coben’s Missing You on Netflix, a veritable streaming smorgasbord still lies ahead of us over the next eleven months or so.
From Andor to Zero Day, The Last Of Us to Stranger Things, and Alan Partridge to Wonder Man to Doctor Who, there is no shortage of returning favourites, fresh franchise offerings, original programming, weekly droppers and binge-ready shows in store for us before the year is through. So whether you’re chomping at the bit for Sally Wainwright’s Happy Valley follow-up, have a date to make with Adam Brody...

Editor’s Note: The following post contains spoilers for “Severance” Season 2, Episode 3, “Who Is Alive?”
As Season 2 of “Severance” continues to build out its web of corporate lore, one of the character’s getting more screen time and added depth is everyone’s favorite Refiner of the Quarter, Dylan G. Played by Zach Cherry, Dylan’s innie was introduced in the first season as a cocky, but highly efficient worker. However, in the most recent slate of episodes, Dylan’s outie was revealed to be a decidedly less sure-of-himself figure who has struggled to maintain work over the years. In a recent interview with Variety, Cherry explained how he sees Dylan as a “double role,” but they are still “the same person.”
“A primary way I think about the difference between the two is that Innie Dylan is this extremely confident guy, and he has no reason not to be,...

In yet another feat of ingenious marketing, Apple has now released an eight-chapter edition of “The You You Are,” the middling self-help book that regardless proves radical for the innies at Severance, inspiring them to lead a revolt against titan of industry Kier Eagan’s Lumon in Season 1.
Under the purview of Apple Books (Apple TV+ is home to the mystery-box thriller), the book is drawn from the critically acclaimed world of Severance, hailing from writer-creator Dan Erickson, executive producer/director Ben Stiller and stars Adam Scott, Britt Lower, John Turturro and Zach Cherry.
“In his quinquennial tome, Dr. Ricken Lazlo Hale, PhD guides You on a brave journey of self-learnedness. Fertile with mind-engorging insights, The You You Are is an invitation to merge with your true ‘You,’ and expel from your essence the dead-eyed conventionalism that has defined your life since infancy,” the Apple description of the release reads.

Though primarily known as a comedy actor, Ben Stiller has maintained a steady behind-the-scenes presence as a director and a producer for decades, and he puts these talents to great use on TV's trippiest mind-bender, "Severance." But that's not all he brings to the table.
Stiller has been known to complement his comedic roles with artsier fare, including Wes Anderson's 2001 comedy-drama "The Royal Tenenbaums" and Noah Baumbach's 2010 romantic comedy "Greenberg." He also seems to have kept his eyes open when it came to working methods, taking influences from acclaimed filmmakers that he could later use on his own sets. During an appearance on Mike Birbiglia's podcast "Working It Out," Stiller revealed that a certain restriction Baumbach used on set inspired him to forbid certain things while filming. In the case of "Severance," the thing he doesn't allow on the set is phones:
"Crew have to use phones sometimes to communicate,...
