The female cast is both beautiful and good acting.
The downside of the drama is that so many good people die.
The most impressive thing is the last words of the King's wife: "I return my life to you, you return your love to me."
In the end, the King was still a king, the sword cultivator continued to wander.
The king has the world, the sword cultivator has immortality.
Both are lonely.

Storyline was nothing extraordinary, but the cinematography and fighting scenes of this drama are indeed beautiful! Moreover, commendable acting in his first historical drama of "Li Xian" as Ding Ning. And most surprisingly, the cold and speechlessly beautiful Qianxue was perfectly portrayed by the lively and sweetly beautiful "Li Yitong", what a transformation of character she's had! This really highlights her naturally great versatile acting. Li Yitong is always my favourite Chinese actress to follow. She deserves more recognition especially after you watch her performances in "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" and "Royal Nirvana 1&2". This makes the Sword Dynasty a very good drama to watch, although more dramatic love story and ending could be created by adding couple more episodes.
