  • One plot line has to do with the precinct chief playing favorites and seeking retribution. Mostly, however, we are focused on Harry's further search for Daisy's killer. Meanwhile, there is more infiltration of the drug dealers and their activities. Things are getting mighty tense going into Episode 9.
  • This is a solid episode that starts to increase the intrigue associated with various plot lines. For me the most interesting is the Daisy Clayton murder, which introduces further information that makes you want to know the outcome. Titus Welliver is great in these scenes.

The Kent murder and associated conspiracy, plus the 308 group involvement is also lingering in a quite threatening way.

I have mixed feelings about the Billets/Cooper storyline. Cooper is portrayed as an unlikeable and plausible antagonist who hides his vendetta behind rules and regulations. You really want to see him get some comeuppance. However, I think the key role Det. Pierce played feels contrived and I find it implausible someone in this type of workplace who would whistleblow this situation out of pure duty.

There are some stronger scenes with great tension in the Avril investigation. Jamie Hector is back in Marlo Stanfield mode with his body language and mannerisms as he interacts with Avril. I enjoyed (naturally).

7.5/10 for me, but I round upwards.
