  • I could write for hours about why I recommend this show. This is not the typical overly dramatic Spanish drama. The actors are not overdressed like the highly-watched TvNovelas do to grab attention. The series touches a lot of taboos that is not common to see in the Hispanic television and all without the need of Murder in the story! It's refreshing and interesting to see...real life situations. The episodes are longer than normal, but there is so much in them... and you can guarantee that you will be able to relate to at least one character. Best of all... No clichés! There's a lot of diversity in the struggles presented ,and I can truly say it's the most Progressive Spanish series of this time. Better yet, there's minimum violence. At least that's not what its all about,so If you like gun action, this show might not be for you. If I could chose one show to watch, It would definitely be this one. The actors might not be the most jaw-dropping, but the writing is simply astonishing and the acting is great. I watched it online and I am currently watching it all over again from the beginning. I literally contacted one of the Spanish channels asking them to air it, and the request is currently pending. There's so much to the series I hope and pray they will finally air it here.

I absolutely loved this show! Not only is it very interesting, but it is also a very open series. The most daring you can ever find in the Spanish speaking television so far!The first episode itself had a lot going on.What I most like about this show is that it talks about reality, the struggle of the teenage years; peer pressure, bad influences, drugs, eating disorders, sexual orientation, and the search of happiness.Spanish TV is starting to talk about this more often but its is amazing how this show that began in 2008 did it so well when it was not common to talk about this taboos in our Hispanic culture. I first found out about this show after watching its Telemundo adaptation,"Relaciones Peligrosas."It was also good, but after watching "Fisica o Quimica" I understood why the majority preferred the original. Fisica o Quimica is unforgettable!Three years after its conclusion fans worldwide are still talking about it and even signing a petition for the return of the series. Isn't that something? The series already has a adaptations and versions of the series it has inspired in other countries. The characters of the story have almost the same importance, and they don't focus on the'protagonists' only. Each character grows and changes episode after episode with its own vicissitudes. The outcomes are very realistic. Lost opportunities and death are part of life. The series had me laughing, crying, and shaking at its twists and turns. I totally recommend it! I watched all of the seven seasons online, and I think it would be great if they were to transmit it in the U.S for the Hispanic audience. The series actually has you reflect on your life and makes you think. Isn't that something worth your time?...If it had any flaw the sole writer of the series deserves this ten stars!

I can't say I'm as enthusiastic about the show as the other two reviewers. Yes, I loved the show, at least for the first four or five seasons. As with all shows that run as long as FoQ (7 seasons), characters come and go, and I just liked the characters and plot lines of the first four or five seasons a lot more than the last few. That said, I still love show. What strikes me most about it is just how similar American and Spanish teenagers are: all the same dramas, conflicts, emotional issues, romances, flirtations, and jealousies. Yes, the characters in Fisica o Quimica speak a different language, and you do note some cultural differences (Spaniards seem to be a lot more direct or blunt than Americans, for one), but the highs & lows & in betweens are amazingly similar.

I do agree with the other reviewers about the quality of the acting. The cast is really first-rate. With so many young actors, you'd think there would be a lot of really lousy actors on the show, but hardly a dud in the bunch. Both the older generation (teachers) and younger (students) are played by a top-notch cast. A lot of the writing is simply superb, so much so that I find myself re-watching certain scenes over and over again. But I found some of the writing a bit forced, as if they were constantly injecting drama into every possible situation, so much so that a number of the conflicts feel contrived. I would have liked to see a bit more humor and a bit less roller-coaster drama.

In the end, this show is definitely worth your time. I give the first four (maybe five) seasons a 10 out of 10, but the last two-three seasons just a 6. One of these days, I'll probably go back and re-watch FoQ again, or at least the first four seasons.

    Wow
I really loved this series. It contains teen struggling with their lives, trying to find a solution for different problems, not just their ones. It has a lot of love and a path of acceptance that they all start to walk in, to the final episode. It has many surprising events. One thing is never changed - the name of the school (Zurbaran). The teachers, for sure, are changing (some of them). They also experience crazy emotions and events in their life.
