Christmas At Captain Jack's casts a pair old timers Ruta Lee and Joseph Campanella who apparently did a trio of these films around the same time. These two senior citizens are on a road trip to Omaha to meet up with a daughter that Lee gave up for adoption decades ago. I know my curiosity would be piqued in the same situation.

In any event Lee and Campanella are off but weather conditions force them to hold up at an all night diner on an extremely not busy night on Christmas Eve. That's something else I can identify with. I've blessed the fact I've found places open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in my life.

In any event I think you can figure out the rest of the plot. This is a nice family viewer friendly film that teaches us those eternal lessons about counting your real blessings in life.

Christmas at Cadillac Jack's is a 2007 American television film. The premise of the story surrounds an unexpected road trip to find a long-lost daughter on Christmas Eve. Emmy winner, Joseph Campanella; stage and screen star Ruta Lee; and Latin Grammy nominee Patty Cabrera star.

This is a well made movie. The story is cute and very moving. The cast is made of many familiar faces. It was nice that this film was not as predictable as most Christmas films can be.

Not available on DVD. Look for it during Christmas time. I came across this film on a religious television channel. Now some people might not like some of the "Christian Elements" to this story but "Christmas is about the birth of the Christ child".

Watch it if you can Family safe.
