Nice little short film to watch when you're bored. I loved the camera shots and the acting and the randomness of the whole story definitely worth a watch.

During his street performance, Rod Goldman's day becomes miserable when Al Silverman interrupts his performance and steals Rod Goldman's spotlight.
Goldman v Silverman is a short film directed by Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie. The film stars Adam Sandler as Rod Goldman and Benny Safdie as Al Silverman. The short film had an interesting story that somehow relates to Adam Sandler's real-life career as a performer. Adam Sandler dressed in gold resembling an Oscar trophy performing and entertaining audiences on the streets of New York in a comedic way symbolizes how the Oscar award show views Adam Sandler as a performer(actor) and how he will never be taken seriously due to his past comedy films and attitude. Al Silverman illustrates how some film directors view Adam Sandler's work and performances on screen. The conclusion of the film sees Goldman looking at himself in a mirror in a dirty restroom, while Silverman goes into the back of a production truck.
Goldman v Silverman was an odd short film but it was amusing to watch the performances by Adam Sandler and Benny Safdie.

After watching that crazy and awesome movie "Uncut Gems", I wanted more! And Safdie brothers gave me just that. This short captures that same uncomfortable atmosphere that the movie gave us. Adam Sandler also returns to play the role as Goldman, and he gives another unrecognizable performance! Safdie Brothers and Sandler are an amazing duo, I hope I see more projects with them. But overall I was very satisfied with this short, and Safdie brothers have made a new loyal fan :)

2 star for its brilliant music. I don't know what they're trying to achieve with this confusing and totally uneven short. A silly failed attempt to recaptures some of the gritty, frenetic New York aesthetic that defined Uncut Gems.

The Safdie brothers capture the atmosphere of New York streets and the persona of the people who made a living in them.
Would like to see this guys style introduced in movies that are not set in this city just to see if It works or not. Worth a watch.

Benny Safdie and Adam Sandler are back in this crazy short filled with tension and very good score. Best Sandler movie since Couch.

Just watched this short and actually was moved by it. A look at street performers and the culture they keep just to hopefully make a few bucks. It shows how territorial and cut throat it is at the bottom of the entertainment barrel. A seemingly improved dialogue and shaky handheld camera work gives this piece the realism it needed to emote in a very short period of time. I have known street performers in my time and the harsh reality they lived in and this 7 minute piece portrays this to a tee. Give it a watch and see that there are short filmmakers that are doing real work out there.
