Brad Pitt once had plans to star as the late musician Jeff Buckley in a biopic nearly two decades ago. In 2000, after inviting Buckley’s mother, Mary Guibert, to his wedding to Jennifer Aniston, Pitt sought her permission to portray her son on screen, and although initially she agreed, she later had second thoughts.

Eminem has had one of the greatest careers of all time. He has collectively been regarded as the king of the rap genre, having had hits follow him through his professional life. He is known for being ruthless when it comes to his songs; always having something to say, and the world waiting to listen to his every word. There is no better example of this than his upcoming album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).

The first single from the album has been breaking the internet, specifically because of the significance the title itself could have for his persona, Slim Shady. Recently, the rapper released a teaser clip for the album, and fans are extremely excited.

However, some could not help but notice him following a theme that has been frustratingly prominent in the music industry.

With The Death of Slim Shady arrives the birth of a demon child. On Monday, Eminem announced that he’ll release his upcoming LP on July 12 via a minute-long horror trailer.

The video opens with a woman giving birth to a baby. “When I count to three, I need you to push as hard as you can,” says the doctor. After the baby is delivered, the woman holds the child in her arms, saying, “You’re the little bugger that kept kicking me.”

Eminem has a cameo-filled video to accompany the first single from his upcoming 12th studio album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).

Pete Davidson, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Shane Gillis are in the video for the song “Houdini,” a callback to the rapper’s 2002 hit “Without Me.” Watch the video below.

The clip opens with Dr. Dre informing Eminem that a portal from 2002 has opened up in the city, unleashing the early 2000s version of Eminem.

Eminem becomes his Rap Boy persona (also featured in “Without Me”) to battle the 2002 version of himself. The video features the two Eminems in a showdown.

Davidson comes in at the tail end as a new driver. “Trust me, I’m a great driver,” he says. “Don’t worry, I just got my license back.”

Sza has unveiled a new cover of Eminem’s 2002 classic “Lose Yourself.”

“U ever just cover Eminem on some tender shit for feels?” she wrote in an Instagram post playing a portion of an mp3 track titled “Lose Yourself (Cover) (more verb+At+Eq)” out of her Notes app. “Not on a project,” she clarified. “Just for mental health.”

Sza’s take on the song sees her reimagine it as a vibey ballad carried by an electric piano. Overtop, her signature vocal croon transforms Eminem’s lyrics into a flowing melody. The cover isn’t available on streaming services yet (and it’s unclear if it will be), but Sza now joins the likes of Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Machine Gun Kelly, and more artists who have covered “Lose Yourself.” Listen to Sza’s version below.
