Rubi is given her payment, William questions Trevor, the former has Trevor decapitated and Rubi's money is taken from her. Kollector is left to finish her, they both wound each other, Kollector flees and Rubi loses conciousness.
A week later Rubi awakens in the care of Milo Evans, an old ally that has patched her wounds. Rubi wants revenge against Ackers, Milo gives her the name of a Czech woman, Kafka Dvorak, an antique book collector. She wants Rubi to seize a certain book from a plane being transported to Rome that night. Even though the plane is destroyed mid-flight and Rubi has to snatch a parachute during freefall, the book is secured, Kafka provides Acker's location, somewhere on the southern English coast.
Rubi fights through the Acker's gang members to the boss's office, only to find he's a bearded, elderly man with scarring on his left eye, Rubi realizes she was duped and goes back to Milo, the person who actually hired her to capture Trevor is Rupert Pelham, Acker's rival and developer of designer drug Dragon's Breath. Rubi heads back to Hong Kong to consult Ming, he details a triumvirate known as the Tiger Claw to distribute the drug, English shipping magnate Christopher Sorrell to transport the the shipments and Hong Kong biker Jun Li to handle them.

Pelham is at the Acker's estate to finish him for good when Rubi arrives Tarantula faces her in a one-on-one duel, Rubi wins and snaps her neck, then turns her sights to Pelham, decapitating him. Ackers tells Rubi that her intervention has stayed him from taking vengeance on her, but they will not be friends.
