  • This is one of the few games that I bought full price. After playing Dragon Ball Z: Sparking NEO I was hanging out for this one, and for the most part it didn't disappoint. The character roster is incredible... with many characters from Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, the movies and the TV specials, and I don't think you can hope for more than that. Also included are several characters that had only small roles in the series, such as Future Gohan, King Vegeta, King Cold. the movies and TV specials. The 1 player mode is designed to play like the series. The first person view really works for me, and is one of my favourite concepts of the Sparking! series of games.

The 1 player mode is designed to play like the series, with cut scenes in the middle of the fights and and often the choice of whether to change characters, finish the opponent of with an ultimate finishing attack, or defeating them on your own. I enjoy the voice-overs that can be heard during the main fights, even though they are pretty pointless. Although the game is a little shorter than the previous one, A lot more detail has gone into it, with heaps of new characters and battlefields. And in my opinion nothing beats playing 2 player team battle. A small problem I had was the leveling up system, and the inability to increase your health like you were able to in the second game. This often makes the fights a little too short for my taste, and is one of the aspects that I think was better in Sparking! NEO.

The controls take some getting used to, but the basics should become intuitive to you after only a short time. I'm not the best at games, and I was able to get the hang of the main attacks within a few hours (I'm talking about the controls of Sparking! NEO there, as the controls are essentially the same). But even after learning the controls for months, there are many techniques that are still difficult to use, as there are a lot of complex controls. The game is very fast paced, which is one of the things I love about it. I feel it truly captures the spirit of Dragon Ball Z. The fighting environments are great with lots of stuff that you can destroy, and a few great areas that are taken straight from the series, which is really cool. And just wait and see what happens sometimes when you do a really big attack!

The graphics are really nice. I really like the cell shaded style that they use for the character animations. I also love the fact that you can change the language settings to Japanese, making you able to experience it the way it was meant to be. In short, Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! NEO and METEOR are the games I dreamed of when I was a kid. The only reason I'm not recommending the first game in the Sparking! series is that I haven't played it. You'll have to find out about that one on your own. Many times I have found myself fighting in Tenkaichi Budokais and looking for Dragon Balls and such for hours on end. The best part of the game? KAMEHAMEHA!
  • It is really surprising how good this game is. I have played the Tenkaichi 2 and really loved it but this one surpassed it in every aspect. First of all, these games are innovating the fight genre making it more appealing to everyone. You now have the possibility to play in first player mode unlike most fight games that have the side perspective. But that is not all. You can choose tons of characters from the original series since the creators added almost every small role that made an appearance in the popular world of Dragon Ball.

Sparking Meteor is an excellent game and you might never get bored. There are many modes making it very long thus not making it repetitive (Survivor, Story, 2 Player, Dragon Simulator, 100 Missions and so on). The 2 player mode is the very best (and I think that everyone would agree with me) since you can choose one character and fight your friends or choose five characters each in the Team Battle mode.

The playability might seem a bit complicated at first, but once you get the handle of it you might be able to do every technique that has been seen in the series (teleportation, rapid movements, impressive chases, etc.) making it even more spectacular. Plus every single character is able to do his/her signature/s move/s (you can notice that the creators put attention to every detail taking in to account that there are more than 150). Add this to its incredible scenery (which is almost completely destroyable) extracted directly from the series and you have the most unique fight game.

Overall this game is a set of fast-paced action and an absolute must play for every gamer that claims he/she is into fight games since this one may not disappoint anyone.
  • As much as I love the Dragonball Z video games and especially the tenkaichi series, I really think that Tenkaichi 3 is the magnum opus of the whole tenkaichi franchise. Seriously, I mean how can it get any better than this? We get to play with all the characters from the complete Dragonball universe, starting with a kid Goku and all the way up to Gogeta SSJ4 with a roster of 150 characters in the middle. We get to fight in the most famous arenas that appear in the show and in the movies, if not all the arenas. Even at The Other World's entrance aka Janemba's Hell. And the multiplayer is all that a fan can ask for. As a Dragonball Z fan, I see this as THE fighting game for the ps2. The challenging and the powerful modes will dare you for more, and there is room for improvement. Fight in a wide arena to really show your power.

Overall, I recommend this masterpiece to:

    1) Dragonball Z fans

    2) Fighting fans

    3) People who are looking for a game to stay with them for a long time.
  • This game is an absolutely geniously designed game. Well made stages, great fighting, signature, and finishing moves! Great story loosely based on DB, DBZ, and DBGT. This game is just the art of fun once you play this, you would want to play this 5D epic fighting game forever. I think this is the last dragon ball game which was certainly amazing, the new ones have done nothing to do better than DBZBT3.
  • Warning: Spoilers
This was the peak of DB games. No DB game for PS3/PS4 was even half enjoyable as this masterpiece. I would also say that this is the best anime series game in the world, but the Dragon Ball franchise is the best one to adapt as a fight game.

The previous part was already great and almost perfect by adding in-Game-transformations and a lot of more playable characters, but this one goes even further.

You are able to play EVERY character from DB, DBZ, DBGT and the specials of it. That never happened ever again. I never understood why the new games are reduced to only 10% of characters of this game and why no other DB game has this very simple but extended gameplay that never gets boring. The graphics are great for an anime game and for the year it's been released. You can also power up all of your favourite fighters by increasind their health, damage and so on. The producer also stepped up their game with the series mode. You can play all main arcs of DB-GT (I know GT aint canon, but back then nobody cared. It worked very well to play the whole story/ies).

Nothing would make more sense than doing a next gen DBS title like this one. There isn't even a game out that's been called Dragon Ball Super. Even if the franchise is going on since 2015 and gets bigger and bigger. I would pay a ridicioulos inappropriate price on release day.
  • So this game also came out a year later So for me it's really the best Dragon Ball video game so far Yes this game It was really very very good and I really liked it So in this version they still have the characters welded together But this time they won't be there only thosethe Z GT films but also those of the original series or the one when Goku is the child and I was also surprised that they also put the character of winging another character who belongs to the same author and they also put the very interesting characters but even if I would have tooI wanted to see other characters that are missing, for example the high followers of the villains and many others that I won't make the list. However, one very negative thing in this game is the morality of the story. No, it's not like the previous two, that is, they start the story by only counting all the villains. To understand betterfirst level there are only three levels you understand only three levels Yet in previous games they put the levels of a lot of Challengers I don't understand why they made this choice So the levels are always the same but this time there is also the level dedicated to Dragon Ball GT is that tooof the original Dragon Ball ha also Here there are also some alternative stories see and discover ha also in this game You can try playing the original Japanese version Because here too there are really the soundtracks of the series If you want to hear the same soundtracks of the seriesplay the original Japanese version and use knew one thing and it's been a long time since a much more interesting game like this Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 came out because the other games that came after were too disappointing even bad it's impossible that it doesn't really succeed a more decent game and thank goodness that a year later Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4 will finally come out and we've seen a lot of footage but let's hope it will come out immediately because I already know it in addition to the usual characters that appeared in previous games But maybe it will also come out those of Dragon BallSuper Even though I have always said that I don't like super at all but I like it I don't use one of the characters in the game and there will certainly be those of the new transformations of Goku and Vegeta Lord bills also his golden master frieza hit Black Goku zamasu Jiren you will bedefinitely but before finishing I have to tell you some bad news I learned yesterday that he is very Akira toriyama It was truly an injustice even if he wasn't one of my favorite authors but he wasn't really a bad person he died at the age of 68 for me it's It's really a shame to write thatreview dedicating it to this person who gave us something that made Dragon Ball put a lot of places, may Akira toriyama rest in peace.to conclude the vote 9.
