  • Not sure why people are not liking this movie. It's better than a LOT of stuff out there, believe me. Aside from a few flaws, it was an enjoyable and funny short film that will appeal to Mike Patton fans and those that like dark, different films, like David Lynch films. The few flaws are: 1. Why is it in black and white? This would have been a bit more enjoyable in color, especially if the old lady's bow-tie collection was colorful. 2. When the man knocks on the old woman's door he says he is from "down the hall" when in fact it's obvious he lives next door. 3. The man wearing the hat gives a "scout's honor" by holding up two fingers in a "V" shape. Anyone who has been a Boy Scout would recognize that as the wrong scout salute. The correct salute is three fingers together and the pinky finger held down by your right thumb. But maybe this was done on purpose to make the guy's character seem cheesy and dishonest.

Those are minor problems. This film has a funny and original plot, not to mention some great music by none other than Mike Patton. Anyone who loves Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Faith No More, etc. etc will like the music. Not to mention the movie company is named "Fantoma" which is one letter away from "Fantomas"! Coincidental? Loved the little Toyota Corolla hatchback, the guy's bass guitar, and the strange and surreal nature of this movie. I guess I felt a "part 2" or just some more length to this movie would have made it all the better.
  • I am a huge fan of the situation not knowing what to expect from the next creation of mike patton, and it was really strange to see a film that has the signature of mike patton, without review. So i watch it just to write the first review on IMDb.

With 50,000 budget of course you don't expect to see an helicopter. The name perfect in the title must not mislead you. It looks like an experimental act from amateurs and of course not so close to anything perfect. Maybe you will feel near laughing a few times which is nice. Trying to be comedy , trying to be black comedy. I can hear mike patton's music without picture at least once each song, so i was sure it would be better with a movie and i liked some songs from perfect place that i heard so i was guessing it would be nice. I wasn't so sure after i saw the movie though. So really don't expect a movie better than his music and i even wander if he made the music before watching the movie. I mean they don't match very much song and movie. As if the movie was made after they hear the music and not the music after the movie, except the driving in the dark scene that music fits perfect. It would be better if there was music during all the movie so that u forget what u see.

Songs i liked: "a little poker tomorrow night?" and "A Perfect Place".

Statistics when i saw the movie (you know where): 1,153 view , 19 likes , 0 dislikes.

Anyway impossible to miss it if you are fan of mike. Better to watch it in a room without much light because the scenery is usually dark.
