Blood Moon

It sucks. Period. The character of the mother lacks intelligence and common sense, and the other characters are generic and lack any type of depth. I think they only called it a "horror" movie to get people to watch it.

Blood Moon (2021) is the newest Into the Dark movie on Hulu. The storyline for this follows a single mother traveling with her ten year old who has a unique set of rules tied to the full moon. As the story unfolds we discover how he got those powers and how long she can keep his uniqueness a secret. This movie is directed by Emma Tammi (The Wind) and stars Megalyn Echikunwoke (House of Lies), Yonas Kibreab (Silicon Valley), Joshua Dov (West World) and Jack Yang (Seven Pounds). The storyline for this film had a lot of potential. I really liked the character development and how everything unfolded. Unfortunately, there wasn't many horror elements, but there were some great remains here and there and fantastic character interactions I thoroughly enjoyed. The mother and son's characters were portrayed really well. The ending was a bit disappointing and fell short of the build up for me. Overall this isn't one of the better Into the Dark movies but is still worth a viewing. I'd score this a 5/10.

Great cast and crew. The acting was on point otherwise this movie was a waste of 1hr and 22 minutes of my life. Poor story, drawn out suspense that kills any excitement. I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt it necessary for this film.

Grade C at best.

Don't waste your time on this creature feature. Hardly any creature, and you spend more time at the diner than anywhere else. The ending makes 0 sense.

Putting aside some illogical matters and happenings, that was a good episode, ruined only by lack of definitive thrill, suspense and graphic elements.

We don't want to be only told the story of Mom's life, whereabouts and travels across states with her little weird son, wishing to socialize but kept aside by the protective mom for unknown reasons!

If only, the episode had a tighter and grippier storyline with visually satisfying special effects then it would have gotten a nice 9. As it is, it's mildly satisfying.
