    Warning: Spoilers
Murari is a film about a curse and its redemption. This is a family movie with a supernatural touch. The film tells the story of a family whose big son dies after every 48 years. This film has a good story to tell but falls flat due to weak direction. The story was little superstitious but was good. The 1st half was a complete washout. In second half the story builds which makes the movie interesting but takes too much time to build. The worst thing about this movie was that it doesn't takes its story too seriously.Comic scenes tried too much to become funny. No doubt some comedy scenes were good but most of them were irritatingly bad.Its lousiness of the movie was also a huge drawback. The climax scene was also unconvincing and weird.Mahesh babu was good as usual. He plays the role of an innocent village boy with an aptness.Sonali bendre was sweet and charming.Every member of the cast was good in acting.Cinematography was nice.Music was average. Overall if you are a fan of family movies then you would like it.This movie could have been better but was marred by a predictable plot and a slow narrative. 6.3 out of 10 is my final rating.
  • Hands down, it's one of the worst movie watching experience. I found myself being triggered from the first scene. The overacting, the characters, the dialogues - ugh, there is nothing good about this movie. The worst characteristics you can imagine in a group of people - being regressive, loud, nosy, manipulative and extremely orthodox, all these qualities are present in the characters of this movie and they are treated as normal or even glorified.

Disclaimer : I only saw the first half (couldn't extend the torture anymore) and saw the Hindi dubbed version (which might have made the dialogues worse than they actually are in the original)
