  • A Heineken ad for James Bond's adventure "Casino Royale" (2006) and dircted by Stephen Gaghan ("Syriana") strangely succeeds by making the complete opposite scheme: 007 is off the video and Bond girl Vesper Lynd (Eva Green) is the actual star along with a waiter on a complicated mission that revolves about the famous beer.

Elegant, thrilling, humored and with plenty of style, as usual for Ian Fleming's famous character ever since the agent was presented in the movies this short works nice and Daniel Craig's absence isn't all that bad. Just by using the settings from spy movies, an actress for the movie and Gaghan accomplished to make a watchable and fun ad. There's mystery in the tiny story but it's not complex or so exciting as watching a Bond film or even some other commercials that are open to more memorable moments.

Green was amazing as usual, and the waiter played by Peter Varga was very funny, trying to complete his mission in a stressful way that'd made 007 the less concerned man in the world. In a lesser degree, non-drinkers or Heineken haters will at least try once thanks to this commercial. That's what ads are for: creating the urgency. 7/10
