Two disclaimers first - one, i am a conservative and two, i am a huge zucker fan.
now, overall, i think the worst aspect of the film is that it was about 15 minutes too long. there was just enough dead air in the movie during the "dream sequences" that the film lost momentum and purpose.
despite that, it had its funny moments. Farley was great. Grammar was on screen too long, and we could have used a little more o'Reilly (even though i am not a fan). trace Adkins was kind of annoying, and while i am a devotee of Leslie Nielson, it is getting time to let him go to pasture. the father from Frazier or somebody like that would have done a better job. Nielson is just looking a little unsure of himself.
nonetheless, the movie had some bright spots. the Rosie o'Donnell scene was genius and the most all of the scenes with the two hapless terrorists were cute. also, the bicycle terrorist scene at the beginning was quite clever, as was the terrorist training film in the vein of "goofus and gallant".
quite hit and miss, but worth at least one viewing. in watching this though, one becomes wistful for the group days of zucker and zucker.
