  • Score another one in the plus column for screenwriter Marc Cushman/Cash Markman, though Penthouse didn't bother to give him a screen credit.

What starts off as seemingly just another Penthouse Video with sex vignettes turns out to be a feature film made with panache and dramatic concerns. Go figure.

She plays a writer who is telling us her story of romantic ups and downs, with big-dicked ingenue Jeremy Holmes one of the ups and smooth operator Jay Huntington the downs. But director Kelly Holland with the aid of Cash's way, way better than usual script end up making this a heart-warming, upbeat movie, hardly what one would expect from porn.

Cash's favorite NonSex actor Slick Rhodes does a fine job as Bree's boss, as she works in a clothing boutique when not pounding away at her keyboard. Unusual structure for Penhouse features only two studs in the cast (reflecting it not being merely 5 vignettes with varied talent) and a lengthy sequence that cross-cuts between Brooke Haven's and Adrianna Annelise's sex scenes.
