A true-life drama, centering on British explorer Col. Percival Fawcett, who disappeared while searching for a mysterious city in the Amazon in the 1920s.
Filming included so many gunshots and big explosions that it scared local farmers, who complained to local newspapers and tv stations.

At around 18 minutes into the movie, a train was shown steaming in the English country side, the train is in British Rail green with a British Rail insignia on the tender. British Railway didn't exist until 1948.
