Megan Dodds has landed the female lead opposite Ethan Hawke in Fox's drama pilot Exit Strategy, a high-octane procedural about a team of 5 experts associated with the CIA led by Eric Shaw (Hawke) who are deployed when a CIA operation goes bad to extract the ones involved before it's too late. Dodds will play Dr. Hannah Burke, the medic on the team who has a genius-level Iq, trusts no one and appears to have a romantic connection with Shaw. Antoine Fuqua is directing the pilot for 20th TV and Kurtzman/Orci. Exit Strategy brings Dodds, repped by Icm and U.K.'s Independent Talent, back to Fox and 20th TV. Two years ago, she had a talent deal with the network and studio, which led to her casting in the pilot Courtroom K. Michael Landes has inked a talent holding deal with 20th Century Fox TV.
Under the one-year pact, which includes a development component, Landes will topline a series project developed for him or will be cast in an existing 20th TV pilot.
The deal extends Landes' relationship with the studio. Following his role on "The Wedding Bells" -- David E. Kelley's dramedy for Fox and 20th TV -- he was signed in fall 2007 to a talent deal by Fox and 20th TV. It led to a starring role on Paul Attanasio's legal dramedy pilot "Courtroom K."
It was the opportunity to work with writers of Kelley and Attanasio's caliber that lured Landes to ink a new deal with 20th TV. He said he is pumped up about development and is looking to do an hourlong show.
"I think life is both comedy and drama," he said, "and if you...

Megan Dodds has inked a talent holding deal with Fox and 20th Century Fox TV to star in an hourlong series project.
The deal stems from Dodds' performance in the Fox/20th TV dramedy pilot "Courtroom K," which impressed executives at the network and studio.
"She just stood out," Fox head of casting Marcia Shulman said of the Juilliard-trained Dodds. "To me, she looks like a classic movie star, a woman from the 1940s. And she is just a terrific actress."
The pact with Dodds comes a week after Fox signed a talent deal with another thirtysomething actress of solid pedigree, Yale School of Drama alum Kathryn Hahn. "It's the year of strong women," Shulman said. "I think women are a great audience for television, and we should be servicing them."
Once a mostly testosterone-driven network, Fox has been opening its schedule more to shows targeting women with the runaway...

Fans of Journeyman might have done much to save the short-lived show, but like other one-season wonders, the show remains six feet under. The creator of the show, Kevin Falls, has expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for all the support the fans have given him and the rest of production. Now, Falls is ready to move on and take on another FOX project, this time with a lighter and more comedic tone. FOX has recently given a green light for Falls to recreate the Argentinean telenovela Lalola.
The new FOX series is tentatively titled Eva Adams, and will be an hour-long show focusing on a womanizer who suddenly turns into a woman and thus learns how to deal with the same kind of treatment that he used to give back in the days when he was still a man. The story will be set in the world of sports and fashion.
