  • Cameraman/director "B. Skow" made his early reputation as master of "tease", that bit of soft-core intro featured on most (even gonzo) wall-to-wall sex videos. He even earned star Monique Alexander a meaningless industry award nomination for same in "Please Me", a Vivid release.

But his routine gets old fast and almost a decade later this lengthy (130 minutes) video is empty and repetitious. It's also a paste-up job, having been shot on a couple of days five months apart (the BTS indicates by her omission that a lengthy segment featuring Brooke Banner was the afterthought filler shot in 2008 after principal photography in summer 2007).

Monique poses for the camera, even looking at it, for two meaningless hump sessions in the kitchen or bedroom with first Charles Dera and then Alan Stafford. I was waiting for her relationship with either to be spelled out, but no such luck. Skow merely pairs sex workers for humping, rather than taking advantage of their abundant acting abilities, as shown in work by the trio for other directors.

So half way through I was aware that this Vivid feature was no more than generic sex with familiar stars on board. Sascha humps Brooke Belle next, and the tacked-on finale is solo stints by Monique and Brooke Banner laying on a bed together (but separate), leading inevitably to lesbian action.

Editing is sloppy within a scene and the absence of any sort of content makes the entire show a snoozer. And ultimately it does not solve the mystery of why Skow, for several years, was singled out by industry types as a master of tease, when in fact hundreds (if not thousands) of pornographers famous and anonymous have handled the prelims of soft-core action before getting down and dirty in a feature just as well as he does.
