- Amira, a 17 year old Palestinian school girl is set out to see her father imprisoned in Isreal, with her mother who is also the teacher in her school. She being an amateur photographer, carries a photograph of the family for her father as she does every time. During the visit her father expresses the desire to have one more child, which is objected by her mother. It is being revealed that she and her mother has never personally met her father Nawar, who is a heroic freedom fighter in Palestine, and she was conceived by smuggling his sperm from the prison. Amira talks her mother into it and it is being tried a second time. But this time, the doctors state that it can't be done as Nawar is infertile due to congenital reasons. As per procedure DNA tests are done on Nawar's mother and Amira and it turns out that the sperm sample is that of Nawar but Amira is not his daughter. This create a havoc on who is her father. She doubts her mother's colleague in school who is very affectionate with her and he is being tested for DNA compatibility. Similarly Nawar's brothers are also tested all of which proves negative. Her mother is restrained in a place and questioned by the relatives and she confirms that Nawar is not her father. She later confides to Amira that her father is Nawar's friend who helped them to communicate, but Amira wants to get it confirmed with Dr. Faris who delivered her. She and her boyfriend Zaid, smuggles her mother out of the place to go to talk with the doctor. The doctor remembers the incident but confirms that he inseminated a virgin. This leaves the only probability that the sample was swapped by the prison guard who was the only other person handled it. Amira is heartbroken by the discovery and her mother and her boyfriend asks to keep it a secret, as it is better to be a bastard child that an Israeli. Amira meets her dad and reveals the fact that her mother had lied to save the bitter truth. She also reveals the truth in front of the relatives and leaves home to be with her mother. She find it difficult to face her friends in school and the house is being marked for that of traitor. Nawar asks her to leave to Egypt with her mother as she would never be accepted in Palestine. Though she packs her things, she makes another plan to cross the border and kill the guard who betrayed them. Her boyfriend fetches the guard's address, helps her to cross the border and offers to go with her but she chose to be alone. In Israel territory she checks the guard's profile in social media and finds that he has a similar daughter like her . This make her change her mind and she drops her revolver. She goes back to find her boyfriend at the border, but is spotted by Israeli soldiers. She panics and run but is gunned down by them. In Palestine her martyrdom is celebrated, whereas on the other side of the border, the prison guard is called upon to identify her body as his address is found on her body.
