  • When the most beautiful woman ever, in my opinion, is the star of a Telemondo series it guarantees it ten out of ten. Of course it makes the whole basis of the screenplay ridiculous since Carmen would be desired by every man and every drug lord and definitely doesn't need sub pectoral prostheses. Indeed it would be a desecration of her beauty. Leaving that aside I have to say that I was surprised at how good the series was although like all these soaps they replay past scenes far too much. I was impressed by the quality of the acting too which gave the characters depth.

    Warning: Spoilers
The several thousand inconstistencies makes this series less enjoyable to watch. They act like the viewers all have the memory of a 5yr old

Heres a few sad moments that leaves viewers scratching their brain.

La Diabla forgets Catalina is being forced to go to Mexico stays jealous at her Catalina forgets she almost died several times in Mexico Catalina forgets there is OBVIOUSLY COCAINE IN HER BOOBS Natalia and Lina confirmed it in Mexico LOL A beauty pageant we've never heard anyone talk about is suddenly on Catalina's mind

S1 Ep. 64 Catalina states Mauricio was never paid for her boob job.......

    The list just goes on
  • Never, until I saw "Without Breasts There Is No Paradise (2008), did I waste time watching "soaps". But having followed the ups and downs of not only Catalina Santana but her equally desperate friends, I can say without hesitation, that the series held me spell-bound from beginning to end. Jota the genius/clown, Jairo the vile abuser and Yessica the devil, revealed the heights (and depths) people will go to, to better themselves. Depravity and sainthood all rolled into one. A brilliant expose' into the deepest feelings and emotions of just about all of us at some point in our lives.I must have seen 10,000 movies over the years and this series has to be among the 8 or 10 best ever. Congrats and well done. GA.

    Warning: Spoilers
This is a Mexico-American-Colombian remake of the Colombian mini-series 'Sin Tetas No Hay Paraiso' based on the best-selling novel by the same name. I've not read the novel nor seen the original Colombian series, but I suspect those are far better than this mess. I have not seen every single episode of this version and haven't paid close attention either because, well, it's very hard to do that. The main reason I've watched this is because it comes before "El Cartel" and I didn't want to miss a minute of that outstanding series.

The story is about Catalina, played by the beautiful and sexy Carmen Villalobos, who dreams of becoming an international model but lacks the chest size to make it to paradise. But in order to solve that she needs money that she doesn't have. She and other girls are recruited by some lady pimp to become a prostitutes for Mexican drug lords. For her it's about getting the funds to make her dream come true.

The pace of this series is atrociously slow. What should take 1 or 2 episodes takes weeks and weeks to be resolved. Will she or will she not sleep with the drug lord? Somehow she and her best friend are recruited by the DEA to act as bait to catch these drug lords. But then for weeks on end they go through some "training" in scenes that were utterly dumb. Once they are on their mission, again we have to wait months to see if they have to sleep with the drug lords or if the DEA will intervene in the last minute. From there the girls end up in kidnapped by communist guerrillas. Eventually they are rescued and Catalina goes home but she doesn't tell her mom the ordeal she has been through.

A side story involves Catalinas mom who gets herself involved with Catalina's boyfriend and ends up pregnant. The boyfriend leaves the mom several times and comes back. Once all three are reunited the question becomes, who will get to stay with whom. But as things seem to get to a solution, drug dealers appear yet again to take Catalina with them.

The series is still ongoing as I write this, even though Telemundo has been promising for months now that we are watching the final episodes. But there seems to be no end to this.

Despite the huge budget of this series almost everything about it is poor: the writing, some of the acting, the terrible direction, etc. Even though the themes and issues are dead serious, it is all treated in a campy manner. However, it's not campy enough to be funny. So there is no drama and no humor either. It's just bland and dumb. Unfortunately, the high ratings probably give the producers the impression that idiotic, watered-down productions are the path to success. And I'm afraid we'll see more of these Americanized version for dummies of excellent Colombian productions. Why not just show the original as they did with El Cartel? Still, as bad as "Sin Senos" is, it is still far superior to 99% of Mexican and Venezuelan soaps that are just nasty and mean-spirited melodramas.

I'll give this one point for Carmen Villalobos who is a unique beauty that's both hot and sweet and takes a lot of abuse- I hope she got paid well for all that. Another point for plenty of scenes of women in bikinis- although oddly most aren't particularly attractive. And a third point for some large sets, with lots of extras who are trying their best. But that doesn't in any way improve how awful, slow, uninteresting, and dull this series is.
  • Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso was a soap opera transmitted in June of 2008, a series filled with GTA inspired action, drugs and breasts. It tells the life of a pretty Colombian girl named Catalina who suffers from not having her boobs big enough as her other friends, and dreams of having them operated in order to attract drug dealers and live a life of luxuries, she will have to face terrible consequences and personal struggles in order to pay the price of vanity she aspires, stories tell apart from her brother Bayron, a hit man, her troubled prostitutes friends and even horny adventures between her boyfriend and her mother back home. According to Telemundo, this is the king of soap operas for having the highest audience ever in Telemundo history, Beside this series and La Reina del Sur, I really don't have any other recommendations, I Have only watch other soap operas of Telemundo, like Pedro el Escamoso transmitted in 2001 and Juana La Virgen transmitted in 2002. If by any means you haven't watch this there's still few channels still transmitting it.
  • I really wanted to enjoy this series but most of each episode is wasted on recaps. Seriously! Half of each episode is literally scenes from previous episodes. I HATE reruns and having to sit through multiple scenes that happened yesterday or last week is torture for me. Thankfully I can bypass the recaps since I'm watching on netflix but it's still a real pain. When I say recap, I don't mean at the beginning of the episode. i mean, throughout the episode. They use these scenes when a character is remembering something or when they touch a topic that happened in a previous scene. It's no exaggeration when I say half of each episode is spent showing you clips from previous episodes.

This is a good show for someone with short term memory who needs constant refreshers.
  • the Colombian series "Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso" started sometime in June 2008 which began with a decent young girl by her name of Catalina Santana, who is very rich in friendship and love but suffers from a economical situations, that end up choosing a terrible decision to become a prostitute, leaving her decency and reputation in the floor, above that her boyfriend Albeiro who is always looking up to her, but afterwards fells to her in pity, now Catalina also suffers from her breast since she has very few small and needs the silicone to the future, since this will be her passport to paradise.

With her "best friend" Yesica that is the first one to support her in the decision that will haunt her life and subsequently her fate, Yesica full of ambitions more that her, betrays her few ways, meanwhile Catalina continues to sleep with men for money, for me this novela has a lesson which is the next: "keep your decency, focus on the study and never choose the easy side or you'll end up like various people including this woman" anyway i give this season a 1o rate!!!

Acting was terrible, plot was stupid, script was ridiculous. But man those girls are hot.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Catalina is basically a prostitute - her mother isn't much better as she sleeps with her daughter's husband and ends up pregnant.

She believes her daughter to be dead - so she calls her newborn - yeah - you guessed it - Catalina.

She draws a yellow line outside their door - you can't cross this unless me or your father are with you. Whoooosh - fast forward fifteen years. Catalina is about to become fifteen - really? She looks more like twenty five - whilst her mother who should be around fifty three by now - hasn't aged a day - neither has her father.

In fact - neither has anyone.

As for acting - well the fake boobs did well - their owners not so much.

It proceeds in the expected fashion as Catalina falls in love with the delivery boy - gushy gushy gushy.

It's amusing how her mother takes the moral high ground being as she stole her daughter's boyfriend - don't do as I do - do as I tell you is her mission statement.

A drug lord of about sixty years of age wishes to marry Catalina - who is fourteen years old.

I'll leave you to be the judges of that.

I can't take any more of this tripe.

The series that made someone stop watching Narco shows. A good cast, have seen them in other shows. Reading that this was loosely based on someone's life, yes there was a real life Catalina changed everything. Hard to watch all that downhill drama knowing there are young girls living like this.

Frankly, this was a huge and long production effort. However, it's matted story and script makes it difficult to comprehend its tone. Dramedy? Comedy? Terror& mystery for teens? Serious criminal acts depicted? Love and hate? Revenge?. Actors: Some are awful, others, lame trending to comics. The worst, the "Jota" character actor with gayish mannerisms and an excruciating "Donald Duck" voice. Both here and villain are played by very good actresses, as well as beautiful women. Carmen VillaLobos and Májida Issa. Another excruciating bad actor plays Dr Santiago. Speaking of medicine, there are enormous holes there which remain unexplained properly. The latter, in spite of the careful scenarios and make-up regarding murders, burnt people, injured in hospitals, home surgery, et al. The third season turns the whole plot into a black magic terror for kids B-movie. What,? Still (I don't know how) the series make you addicted to the chaotic mishmash and hold me awake late at night. Things and do clumsy that your brain send to think "ok, what's next?". The depiction of drug dealers and corrupt public officials in charge of a whole town in Colombia is as good as it gets.
