Quite surprised to see not a single review for this movie yet on IMDB and, here I am. 'Randu' is a funny and thought provoking satire. All the technical elements are good. Watched with zero expectations and never get bored. The climax is a let down and could have been made better. Overall, a watchable satire.

Could have been much much better with little more effort. The subject not new but good for present situation in the country. Blame may be goes to the script and direction, it seems stratched should have been slick and fast. I enjoyed the climax fight scene it was little comical over all will say they missed it without proper treatment if the subject.
  • The movie starts slow and takes us through the life of an ordinary auto driver and his struggles through the communally volatile village. The humor is sublime, realistic, fits well in the story without standing out. The subject is real as we can connect it with the situation in several places in Kerala. The only odd part is the fight in the climax, for which the context was not developed in the story. The treatment of the subject was fresh, though its a common subject addressed in several movies. Best wishes to the team behind the movie.
  • Now a days what is really happening in India is shown in the movie. How religious polarization is affecting the comunal harmony of the people and society. A really thought provoking movie. I had many issues with this movie, still was good.
  • The film lacks story. Direction is poor- its lengthy and you wish it ends soon. Acting is okish.

Few religions are purposefully targeted. Politics is main theme. Not for family or young audience.

    Watchable for politicians.
  • Poor Climax.....no definite story... Not worth watching.

No definite comedies in the film.. The Climax fight seen is terrible.... The film failed to convey what it meant to .....

Poor story. The script feels like it was made in such a way to include certain dialogues to satisfy the script writers politics. Background score was very old fashioned. One of the things i didn't like is that, moral policing and mob lynching is given a heroic disguise. And sometimes it feels like,it was made to feel like people who support other ideologies other than the script writer's to look like fools. In thr end, it is one of those movies which makes you ask yourself "why the hell did i watch this?" and makes you write a review for the first time.
  • The movie definitely has a message for today's polarized society. Just for that reason it is a must watch. The ending was not convincing. Other than that thoroughly enjoyable.

Its a refreshing movie during such polarizing times. Hope we have many more such movies which actually bring back the message of unity. The movie shows how things get sour due to simple misunderstanding complicated by venemous characters from all communities.

Always a joy to see Vishnu Unnikrishnan take the lead role😃 Randu was pleasant and rich in every department; it revealed the atrocities of mankind with showers of humor

-The opening scene was definitely catchy: Loved the attention to detail with the capture of the pigeons and the movie title appearing above the mosque with the glaring flashlights.

Binulal Unni didn't give us a cliche story about religious clashes, instead, he dived into the personal feelings of the common people victims of these atrocities.

As the proverb goes "when two elephants fight, the grass suffers", and in Randu, we saw how much average citizens suffer while the religious instigators go about their agendas. The storytelling was so relatable

-The color grading brought out a beautiful contrast between scenes and gave a nice finishing look to the images

-You could tell the editor did his part with extreme care; each scene transitioned seamlessly making the story believable

-The director invited us to experience every character's emotions: embarrassment, humor, and pain.

-You cannot criticize the acting, from the lead characters, supporting cast, even to the extras, a marvelous performance was rendered

-Dialogues were very profound and sound design was meticulously executed

    Bravo!
