“The White Lotus” Season 3 is finally here. As is always the case with the HBO anthology series, though, it’s returned with a new cast of actors and characters for viewers to follow and either grow to love or revile. “The White Lotus” has also left its Hawaii and Italy hotels behind in favor of a new exotic setting: a wellness retreat in Thailand. Prepare for a lot of awkward social moments, barely hidden resentment, and, of course, some murder.
Here are all the characters you need to know in “The White Lotus” Season 3 as well as who play them.

Aside from the peculiar appearance of a certain flightless waterfowl, Saturday night’s WGA Awards were a familiar affair.
“Hacks” won its second trophy in four years for Best Comedy Series, as well as its second trophy in the same span for Best Episodic Comedy, continuing a victory parade that began at the 2024 Emmys when it upset “The Bear” for the top prize. That hot streak has continued into 2025 with wins at the Casting Society of America, Costume Designers Guild Awards, Directors Guild Awards, Producers Guild Awards, and AFI Awards, among others. With Season 4 having wrapped production in January, creators Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs, and Jen Statsky’s Max original should enter the 2025 Emmy season as the presumptive favorite.
The season’s dominant drama, “Shōgun,” won’t be back in time to compete in 2025 — the writers’ room is still plugging away at Season 2 — but its Season 1 winning streak also...

Sawadee Kha from The White Lotus, Thailand! One of the most popular satire drama shows of our time returns with a third season, and after Maui and Sicily, director Mike White turns his attention to the mesmerizing Ko Samui, an island in Thailand. After delivering a fun and intense second season, a lot was at stake, especially with Jennifer Coolidge not returning to the show this time. One can’t help but wonder if a third season was necessary. And will it be as entertaining as its predecessors, considering it’ll thematically be the same? The one-word answer to both questions is Yes! Mike White knows what he is doing, and he has proved that there is no point in second-guessing his creative genius.
One of the most glaring changes this season is the theme music. In 2022, when the second season was released, the internet went gaga over the high-tempo rendition of the original score,...

Wicked, Conclave, and Nosferatu took top honors at the 29th Annual Art Directors Guild Awards (aka the Excellence in Production Design Awards) Saturday. Rachael Harris hosted the show from the InterContinental Ballroom in Los Angeles.
The Art Directors Guild divides its top film prizes into Period, Contemporary, and Fantasy Feature categories, which went to the Oscar-nominated production designers for Nosferatu, Conclave, and Wicked, respectively. Since the inception of these awards, the winner of one of those three has gone on to win the Best Art Direction/Production Design Oscar in 19 of the 28 years and 10 of the past 11 years. The three films will go up against Dune: Part Two and The Brutalist next month for the production design Academy Award, with Wicked considered not only the frontrunner but a heavily-favored one at that.
Nosferatu won top Period Feature over fellow nominees A Complete Unknown, The Brutalist, Gladiator II, and Saturday Night.

“Nosferatu” (Craig Lathrop), “Wicked” (Nathan Crowley), and “Conclave” (Suzie Davies) were the period, fantasy, and contemporary production design winners at the 29th annual Art Directors Guild Awards, held February 15 at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown.
Also winning for animation was “The Wild Robot”, following its Annies sweep and Ves prizes. On the TV side, “Shōgun,” “Squid Game,” “Fallout,” and “The Penguin” were the winners for their production designers in their respective categories.
The Lathrop win for “Nosferatu” was not surprising when you consider that “The Brutalist” production designer Judy Becker is not an Adg member. She has been the presumptive Oscar favorite for channeling Oscar-nominated Adrien Brody’s visionary architect, László Tóth, in applying a Brutalist style to the architectural designs of mid-century Pennsylvania with its bold shapes and function over form aesthetic.
Lathrop, who has worked on all of director Robert Eggers’ other films, received his first Oscar nomination for “Nosferatu.

Fallout 2 may be the one RPG that Rebel Wolves have paid more attention to than any other in their creation of The Blood of Dawnwalker, and this is both surprising (considering the new studio’s heavy former CD Projekt Red presence) and exciting. You’re probably wondering why that is, but when it was first revealed The Blood of Dawnwalker was touted as an open-world, narrative RPG inspired by ‘classic RPGs’, many of us wondered exactly how much heavy-lifting the word classic was doing, and now we have our answer.
The Blood of Dawnwalker Wants to Break Rules
In a brief interview with the folks over at Gamerant, The Blood of Dawnwalker‘s narrative director Jakub Szamalek was asked about the foundation of the game, and how they plan on balancing the narrative structure with an open-world formula, something notoriously difficult with games that offer exploration to the player:

Fallout: New Vegas is the underdog of the Fallout franchise. If there was ever a game in the series that rose to the occasion, it was New Vegas. Built on an outdated engine and developed by a team with limited resources, it seemed destined for mediocrity. Yet, against all odds, it thrived.

Awards-watchers are accustomed to waiting for the end of every awards show to see the big film categories handed out, but Saturday’s Writers Guild Awards threw everybody for a loop by making the film awards the first two categories of the night in simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York.
“Nickel Boys” won the first award of the night, for Best Adapted Screenplay, and “Anora” won the second, for Best Original Screenplay. The awards led off the shows because the BAFTA Awards are taking place in London on Sunday, with the categories’ early placement giving “Nickel Boys” writers RaMell Ross and Joslyn Barnes and “Anora” writer Sean Baker more time to get to London.
In the television categories that ended the show, “Shōgun” and “Hacks” continued the roll they’ve been on since last September’s Emmy Awards, with the former show winning three awards and the latter show winning two.

Bridgerton has had its fair share of steamy scenes, but there are few that have stuck out to fans as defining character moments and story arcs. There are few who can forget the ‘I burn for you’ line from Season 1, one that set the tone for the show and solidified itself as one of the defining moments in Daphne and Simon’s relationship.

Across the vast history of role-playing games, few studios have managed to be as influential as Obsidian Entertainment. Their work on beloved games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords (2004), Fallout: New Vegas (2010), and Pillars of Eternity (2015) has made them a fan-favorite studio for two decades now — just seeing their name attached to a project will ignite cheers of the faithful — but its background runs much further than you think. We finally have a date for when Twisted Metal season 2 is coming, and the first teaser gives a hint of the madness to come!
We’re in a new age of video game adaptations and, surprisingly, many of them are good. We’ve had Fallout become a Prime Video hit with other successful movies (let’s just ignore Borderlands). Among them is Twisted Metal.
The Peacock series adapts the cult video game series about a dark future demolition derby/racing contest. Season 1 dropped as a ten-episode binge on July 27, 2023. It got a renewal, and fans are eagerly awaiting it.
We finally have a window for it, as Peacock has released the first teaser promising to amp up the action for this new season!

Crysis 3 is a memorable game for several reasons, from its demanding hardware requirements to breathtaking visuals and immersive gameplay. The game truly pushed the boundaries of what was possible in gaming at the time. Even today, it remains a visual spectacle.
The game still holds up to this day. | Image Credit: Crytek
While some critics argued that it didn’t improve much over its predecessor, it was a great game, nonetheless. What truly set it apart was its gameplay innovations, setting, and the addition of an iconic weapon: the Predator Bow.

The upcoming Switch 2 has already reached the summit of anticipation. Gamers are eagerly awaiting its release, with expectations running high for its power, portability, and possibility of bringing beloved titles to the platform. To capitalize on this momentum, Bethesda should also throw its hat into the ring.
The anticipation for the device is at an all-time high. | Image Credit: Nintendo
Despite a recent shaky track record, with Starfield underperforming and Redfall failing to meet expectations, it still has two crown jewels in its back pocket: Fallout 3 and New Vegas. These iconic RPGs are perfect candidates for a port, and they could elevate Nintendo’s already diverse game library.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas represent what an open-world RPG should be. Both have left a lasting impact on the gaming industry.

Note: The following story contains spoilers from “Beast Games” Season 1
Thursday’s finale of “Beast Games” saw what started out as 1,000 players get whittled down to six as they faced off for a grand prize of $5 million in cash.
But in a surprise twist, co-creator, executive producer and host Jimmy Donaldson — aka MrBeast — gave the group, who defied the odds over the course of the season in a series of physical, mental and social challenges, the opportunity to double the total prize they would compete for to $10 million based on a coin toss — making it the largest prize in game show history.
Gage Gallagher, known as Player 974, stepped up to volunteer to perform the toss, successfully doubling the amount for the group. But the person who would end up taking home the money in the end was Player 831: Jeff Allen.

As Fallout fans, we all know that there’s one particular entry in the franchise that turned everything upside down, and that’s Fallout 3. When it debuted all the way back in 2008, it brought an excellent experience, near-perfect balance between combat, open-world exploration, and story.

Fallout 3 might be overshadowed by recent games with improved gameplay and graphics, but it still remains one of the strongest entries, which showed us what Bethesda could do if it was actually committed to a project. What you’ll be shocked to know is that this post-apocalyptic entry is actually a spiritual successor of an Elder Scrolls title.

Exclusive: Aaron Holliday (Cocaine Bear), Jermaine Fowler (Sorry to Bother You), Michael Abbott Jr. (Fallout) and Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) have wrapped on Appofeniacs, an indie horror film from writer-director Chris Marrs Piliero.
Appofeniacs is a riff on the term “apophenia” which is the tendency to find connections or patterns in things that are unrelated or random — common examples being confirmation bias and paranoia. This marks the feature debut for Piliero, who is known for his music video work with Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Kesha, and The Black Keys (for which he won an MTV VMA).
Piliero independently financed and produced the film, which also stars Will Brandt, Paige Searcy, Simran Jehani, Harley Bronwyn, and Sean Wing. Gunn exec produced the pic, with Salvatore Schiavone and Jonathan Voluck handling casting.
Previously seen in Universal’s horror comedy Cocaine Bear, Holliday has also been seen on HBO’s Euphoria and Sharp Objects.

Let’s be honest, the Elder Scrolls and Fallout are the biggest franchises under Bethesda’s belt. Seriously, both of these series have revolutionized the RPG space and set new standards. Gamers can’t wait to see what Todd Howard and his team are planning next for their crown jewels.

When Starfield debuted all the way back in 2023, Bethesda welcomed longtime fans to a brand-new IP after 25 years and yet another open-world RPG filled with hours of content. The game was supposed to be Todd Howard’s biggest project to date, and he promised that it would be revolutionary.
Starfield is still making waves in the gaming community. (Image via Microsoft)
Unfortunately, Starfield was nothing but a mess. Not only did the game receive criticism from both fans and critics alike, but Bethesda’s attempt to save the game with post-launch additions only added fuel to the fire. You might think that Starfield is a lost cause, but the game has broken a record for Bethesda that even Fallout and Elder Scrolls couldn’t.

Bethesda and Todd Howard have brought tons of features to the Fallout franchise that have ended up revolutionizing the gaming industry. However, one of the most important features we’ve seen in the post-apocalyptic series is undoubtedly the manual save.
Fallout is one of Bethesda’s crown jewels. (Image via Bethesda)
You might be laughing and thinking that this feature is such a basic one, and how on earth does it contribute to the game? Well, it’s all thanks to manual saves that you can backtrack a bad decision or escape sketchy situations in Fallout. It’s a critical feature in any game, but Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Dark Souls 2 decided to move away from it.

As much of ad sales milestone as 2024 was for Amazon’s Prime Video, 2025 figures to be even bigger thanks to the addition of NBA and WNBA games to the slate.
“This is a pivotal year for us,” Danielle Carney, Amazon’s Head of US Video and Live Sports Sales, told Deadline in an interview. “We are transitioning from a single-sport upfront to a multi-sport upfront, so our conversations this year will not be focused on just one sport.”
Last year, which was the third of an 11-year exclusive deal with the NFL for Thursday Night Football, Prime Video also began putting ads on films and series for the first time. The tech giant hosted its first upfront presentation for advertisers, a splashy affair in New York last spring. With ratings momentum building for the NFL and more traction for originals, the company exceeded its internal projection of $1.8 billion in upfront ad revenue.

Fallout was one of the most successful new shows of 2024, a funny, scary, post-apocalyptic epic based on the long-running Fallout video game series from Bethesda. The second season is filming right now. That probably means we won't see it until 2026, which is likely later than a lot of fans want, but according to star Walton Goggins (the Ghoul), it'll be worth the wait.
“We’re in the middle of filming it right now, we’ve been at it since November, and I can tell you that I thought Season 1 was extraordinary, personally, I was very pleased with it,” Goggins told Deadline. “This blows it out of the water, what these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story. It’s really gonna be something. I can’t wait for people to see it. We’re working really hard to make that happen.”
Those are some big promises.

Ella Purnell, the star of the Fallout series on Prime Video, recently shared her frustration about one particular aspect of playing her character, Lucy. The show, which is based on the popular video game, follows Lucy, a vault dweller on a mission to find her father in a post-apocalyptic world.
One of the biggest challenges Lucy faces is losing a finger, only to have a new, pale one sewn on by a medical robot. During a panel at MegaCon Orlando, Purnell talked about how annoying it was to have that “dead-looking” finger painted on her every day.
She even jokingly referred to it as the ‘poop finger,’ a name given to it by the makeup designer, Mike Harvey. It quickly caught on among the cast and crew, and soon it was even on the call sheets.
According to Purnell, the process of painting, removing, and reapplying the finger every day was a constant hassle.

This review pertains to the first six episodes of The White Lotus‘ third season, which were provided to me for review consideration.
Though it’s not as largescale or flashy as many HBO original series tend to be, The White Lotus features some of the best writing on television. Each season tells a standalone story, loosely connected by their shared resort setting and themes. It’s an anthology series that plays like an upscale, condensed soap opera and it all stems from the beautifully deranged mind of Mike White (School of Rock).

Fallout is returning for a second season and Walton Goggins can’t sing enough praises for the new season. According to Goggins, the first season of the show was extraordinary and he is sure that the second season is going to surpass the first. However, for Goggins’ big promise to shape into reality, Prime Video should avoid one mistake with the new season.

The ‘Fallout’ series on Amazon Prime Video was a huge success, attracting over 100 million viewers and becoming the platform’s second most-watched show after ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.’ The show’s popularity also boosted interest in the ‘Fallout’ video games, leading to a big increase in players.

Prime Video’s hit series “Fallout” is set to return with a second season that actor Walton Goggins claims will dramatically surpass its first installment. In a recent interview at the “The White Lotus” premiere, Goggins expressed excitement about the show’s creative direction and production.
“This blows [Season 1] out of the water,” Goggins told reporters, praising the writers and production team’s efforts. The series, adapted from the popular Bethesda video game franchise, follows survivors emerging from a luxury fallout shelter 200 years after a nuclear apocalypse.
Production for the second season has undergone significant changes, including a move from New York to Los Angeles after securing a $25 million tax credit. Despite brief delays caused by California wildfires, the show continues to make steady progress.
The ensemble cast remains strong, with Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Kyle MacLachlan returning. A notable addition this season is actor Macaulay Culkin, first reported by Deadline in November.

Let’s be honest here, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is one of the best games to ever come out of Bethesda. Not only did the game manage to polish the template laid down by Morrowind, but it elevated the franchise to a height that gamers had never seen before in the entirety of the gaming industry.

Tom Cruise has lit the fuse at the Super Bowl with a new look at Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
The feature is the eighth (and possibly final?) installment for Cruise in the long-running franchise, which dates back to 1996’s Mission: Impossible and which has become known for an increasingly ambitious series of stunts.
For almost a decade, the signature stunt of a Mission movie has been teased for upwards of a year in advance, such as Cruise hanging off the side of a plane for Rogue Nation, performing a Halo skydive for Fallout or jumping a motorbike off a cliff for Dead Reckoning. This time, the stunt has been kept under wraps until much closer to the release of the film, with Cruise revealing on Feb. 7 that one stunt involved him hanging off of an upside down propeller plane.

"Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning" was a bit of a disappointment. As Chris Evangelista put it in his /Film review, the film felt like it was "cobbled together in between big set pieces." Its biggest sin (other than killing off a certain fan-favorite character) was making the story come across as barely stitched together between set pieces, which is never a good sign.
Now, whether it is the actual final film in the franchise or not, "Mission: Impossible -- The Final Reckoning" is at the very least a movie with higher stakes than any "Mission: Impossible" movie before it. In case you need a reminder, "Dead Reckoning" ended on a big cliffhanger. The human villain Gabriel (Esai Morales) got away, leaving Ethan Hunt and his team scrambling and on a race against the clock to find a sunken submarine and use a mysterious and convoluted key to stop the evil A.

Completing one of the most remarkable two-day stretches in awards-season history, “Anora” won the top feature film prize at the Producers Guild Awards on Saturday night. The victory came about an hour after its director, Sean Baker, won at the Directors Guild Awards two blocks away, and a little more than 24 hours after the film scored a surprise win for Best Picture at the Critics Choice Awards.
The Critics Choice/DGA/PGA trifecta took the Palme d’Or-winning tragicomedic indie from a film that didn’t seem to have much Oscar momentum to the closest thing to a frontrunner in this weird, unsettled season.
TheWrap ran into a dazed Baker in a corner of the lobby after his PGA win and commented, “Hell of a two days.” Baker smiled, shook his head and agreed. “Hell of a two days,” he said.

The Producers Guild of America had to delay the voting process and nominations announcement for its annual award show due to the Los Angeles wildfires, but the PGA Awards proceeded as planned tonight from the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
The guild award show, which is often seen as a barometer of the Best Picture race, is always watched closely by anyone looking to get a leg up on their Oscar ballots. And to anyone paying attention to the Oscar race, there was only one conclusion to draw from Saturday night: voters are high on “Anora.” Sean Baker’s Palme d’Or winner won the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures on the same night that Baker took the top prize at the DGA Awards.
TV was also well-represented, with Emmy favorites like “Shōgun,” “Hacks,” and “Baby Reindeer” taking the Drama, Comedy, and Limited Series categories,...

It has been 12 years since Henry Cavill first debuted as the Man of Steel but the fans loyal to Zack Snyder and his grimdark vision of the DC universe have still been unable to move past the actor’s version of Superman. Those faithful to Cavill, in the meanwhile, have taken his entire career into account and not only rendered him the best Superman but also one of the best actors working in Hollywood right now.

The recently leaked audition tape of the actor as James Bond has further fanned the flames of mass discord as fans cannot reconcile with the fact that Cavill was twice rejected from the role that he seems to be tailor-made for. The lost 007 role combined with his ill-fated arc as Superman and the much-beloved Witcher has thrown the fans into a spiral of confusion and blame.

There’s absolutely no denying the fact that Bethesda’s Todd Howard is one of the most well-known auteurs in the entire gaming industry. He joined the studio back in 1994 and played a major role when it came to the CD version of the Elder Scrolls Arena.

Howard’s first major work was 1995’s Terminator: Future Shock, after which he rose to fame. Many consider his later works, such as Fallout 3, Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, and Starfield, to be the peak of his career.
However, all modders would agree that Howard’s biggest contribution to the gaming scene was creating a tool that completely transformed everything.
