This episode 8 from season 4 of &quot;HBO&#39;s&quot; &quot;Room 104&quot; called &quot;No Dice&quot; is one that&#39;s okay with a story of connection and emotion. Chip Crawford(Gary Cole &quot;Midnight Caller&quot;) a past his prime and washed up game show host appears burnt out and down on his luck pays a visit to &quot;Room 104&quot;. Awaiting for him inside is traditional and old school classic fan and viewer Enid(Linda Lavin) and she wants to connect and share old times and memories with Chip. At first it&#39;s somewhat of a struggle with drama and doubt however feelings come around and good times play out for a happy moment for Enid and finally at once Chip feels respected. Overall good sentimental episode that touches emotions.

No Dice

One of my favorite sitcoms from the 70s-80s is Alice and one of my favorite drama series from the 80s-90s is Midnight Caller, and what a pleasant surprise to see in this episode Linda Lavin, the lead actress from Alice, and Gary Cole, the lead actor from Midnight Caller. This episode brings to the fore the trials and tribulations of a game show host who really things he could have done better with his entertainment career instead of pandering to his fans and getting hair plugs to keep the fans happy. No Dice is also the title of the game show and I was kind of expecting some kind of Black Mirror/Inside No. 9/Tales from the Darkside retribution at the end but it was more redemption.

This season has been very mediocre, until this episode. This one had heart and I was genuinely intrigued. Sad to see this show go

Well done Duplass Brothers. Manipulating the life of actual people in today&#39;s society &amp; finally crushing an episode this season.. A washed up TV star, scrapping for fame &amp; a stubborn old women looking to get a last kick out of life. Great acting, great directing. Not much else to say about this episode but honestly, at the beginning I had some Jordan Peele kinda vibes. Bravo. Plus, from the man himself - &quot;if you ain&#39;t first, your last&quot;. Kudos
