Violation of Chelsie Rae (2007)

I've been mightily impressed with the feature videos of Jim Powers, but this idiotic ripoff of Kubrick/Burgess's "A Clockwork Orange" is the pits. He even departs from porn's standard format by including just 2 sex scenes, the second one being 40 minutes of non-stop physical and sexual abuse of star Chelsie Rae, meted out by actresses dressed as droogs.

So if double-penetration with dildos or fingers or even two strap-ons at once is your bag, Jim "Gonzo" Powers has delivered the goods. The idiots who run AVN even gave this award nominations, most likely a case of payola.

Rae is a fine performer, but her subjecting herself to this tedious stunt didn't impress me in the slightest. Many porn fans and observers are rather upfront in their expression of glee at seeing their favorite heroines dragged through the mud rather than raised on a pedestal, so she's acquiesced. Not me, brother.

I believe the enduring icons will be those who stayed above the fray and out of the gutter, say Annette Haven, Christy Canyon and Sarah Young to name just the most obvious. Adding to the junkiness of this video is Powers' lame attempt to emulate both the Burgess language and the Kubrick look, a fool's errand even for a pornographer. On that level, one has only to turn to "A Clockwork Orgy" made over a decade earlier to see how it's done.
