  • Like other current Brazilian films, it traces an interesting view of Brazilian society from its particular stories. The spirit of Madalena flies over the characters, who do not seem to have a direct relationship. But perhaps this lack of connection causes the film to have a certain cohesion problem. As director, there are times when Madiano Marcheti achieves powerful visuals, but the script is not up to the task.
  • Other than the greenery soybean field shots from the very beginning, the left was just a randomly patched clueless going-nowhere wandering. I've tried to watch this movie with high hope. At the very beginning, the endless soybean fields, the coming from nowhere ostriches really interested me a lot. Then the camera moved to some weird shot of a body in the field, then the kids running toward the village. Then the woman doing sewing work in the wide open under the bright sun, the lazy daughter, the grumpy grandpa, the motorbike ride,...Well, it just started to become a randomly clueless patch-up work with jump-around editing. I sat there facing the screen with clueless disconnected logic for over 16 minutes, then decided to quit. I have something more interesting to kill my time.

Try another movie. This one is bad, very bad... terrible.

If I call it trash, I'd be cursing trash.

And as always, friends of actors and directors flock to IMDB to give high marks for rubbish like this.
  • What a bad bad movie. I'm brazilian myself and it is a shame to see this shown to the world through Prime. It goes from bad acting to terrible script and very poor plot, the movie makes very little sense, it doesnt excite or grip you at any moment, it is bland like no other movie I've ever seen, I gave it a try because I wanted to connect to my own culture after living abroad for so long and that just made me realize Brazil is not good in making movies and the small talks in the culture is still a thing. What a tuen off! If I want to see something exciting coming from Brasil I better watch the soap operas, they are indeed the best in the world.
