Goofy slapstick followup made with good feelings
Bud Lee brings a warm touch to the otherwise silly followup to the Bob Chinn classic, suitable for fans who thought "Police Academy" was a serious work of art. I can't begrudge him taking it easy for a change in the creative/craftsmanship departments.

Capri Cameron opens the film ironing her iconic uniform, from whence the title derives. She does a reverse striptease and then heads for Linda Vista Hospital (filmed on location there, site of many a horror film and major picture) as a new nurse.

Her adventures are mainly sexual in nature, with much attempted (and sometimes successful comedy) by mean head nurse Shanna McCulloch, subplot of a Mafia snitch George Kaplan (film's screenwriter) hunted by hit lady Tina Tyler; black humor in the morgue with dying patients mixed up with corpses, leading to an interesting orgy in the morgue to end the feature.

The cast has a lot of fun, including tall starlet Christi Lake treated to a d.p. by Michael J. Cox and Tyce Bune, and Brian Surewood has a running gag wandering around with so many bandages (except his cock is sticking out unencumbered) looking like The Mummy. Feature is pretty much summed up when a character exclaims near the end "It's good to be alive!".

My current survey of about 100 Bud Lee films is turning up all sorts of surprises, but most importantly I'm enjoying his forgotten works and appreciating a hidden talent behind the guy merely famous for marrying Hyapatia Lee and Asia Carrera. Why punish the lucky bastard for having such good taste?
