Enthralling, gripping, visually appealing and crafty direction: Grahanam is a great watch!
Let me start by saying that it is really unfortunate that this amazing creation is not getting a big theatrical opening in Kerela due to Covid.
While watching the movie we felt so engrossed and captivated that we did not realize that, we don't understand Malayalam and not for a single second this thought crossed our mind that this is a first attempt at this level by this team.
Cinematography: Raj Vimal Dev, you made the visual storytelling easy for Anand. Nature, Singapore Skylines, beautiful indoor shoots; remarkable job ! And it looked like work of someone who had a long and great experience of working in the cinema line.
Acting: Devika Sivan, amazed to see how carefully you pulled off the difficult character. Generally Its difficult to put the feeling aside that i know this girl personally and enjoy the acting, but You made it happen. Loved your work!
Gibu George has played the role of the protagonist flawlessly. There was never a time when he looked doing more or less than the character demanded. Sambavams and Binoop Nair did great jobs by lifting the experience of viewers with their acting skills.
But Arjun Menon steals the show 👌👌. We were excited to watch you whenever you were on screen Anand Paga You looked amazing on celluloid and acted equally well. Your screen presence was charismatic we wanted to see you more.
Direction: Again, even from a neutral point of view also, no one can guess that this piece is the work of an amateur director. Such a crafty direction and gripping storytelling! Audience was thoroughly entertained.
There were a few subplots though which felt a bit stretched but since we were watching it in Malayalam,
that might be one of the reasons.
Overall , it is a huge leap from previous projects and onwards and upwards from here. We wish you were here in Singapore with us on this big day @Anand
Congratulations for making a great feature film . Really proud of you Anand & Team!
