Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the elusive fountain of youth, only to discover that Blackbeard and his daughter are after it too.
At the request of Jerry Bruckheimer, Michael Kahn did some editing work on the first three months of production, but had to leave due to commitments to Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin (2011) and War Horse (2011). He was uncredited.

Jack and Angelica jump into the Thames to escape King George's soldiers, and are shown swimming in clear water. The River Thames of the 1740s was a slurry of waste and a fall into the water could - and often did - kill.
The Disney logo features the Black Pearl ship sailing in the background, has the castle flying the Jolly Roger pirate flag, and has two mermaids swimming in the moat.
