Duel of the Droids

This episode will have you on the edge of your seat! It was well done and had an unexpected twist at the end.

This confirms what we already know - R2D2 is one of the crown jewels of Star Wars, a wonderful character who gets a really good episode about his rescue here. Anakin and Ahsoka go on a mission with a small group of clones to save R2 from the clutches of General Grievous.

The episode has really nice humour, some really good action and some strong dialogue. Anakin, Ahsoka, R2 and Grievous all shine and it is just really fun to watch.

My rating: 8.5/10.

Beautiful display of how we as humans tend to project our feelings of empathy and compassion for more than just other humans. Highlights Anakin's deeply genuine and good character, fantastic episode.

As a two-part arc, this had a much better finale than beginning. Even though this episode still did not seem to be able to manage an entire storyline, it did have a lot more good moments than the first, and also some great character moments. I liked that Grievous had a menacing presence in this episode, and that we got to see Ahsoka go head-to-head with him, even though it was a pretty one-sided fight. R2-D2 was better utilized in this episode, and the overall flow was better. I still think a lot of humor was more aimed at children, and that the stakes were pretty much non-existent, because we know that R2 will be fine at the end of the day. It was a fine episode with some good moments and good action, but I would like these episodes to have just a little more at stake.
