"From the depths of Hell, The Fetus is born"
Let's get this straight, Lauren LaVera (Alessa) is an absolute emotional powerhouse throughout 'The Fetus'.
Lauren, alongside the always fantastic Bill Moseley & Julian Curtis helps to deliver what will be one of the best independent horror movies of 2025.
With an easy to follow, and familiar in parts storyline, we follow Alessa who unexpectedly falls pregnant. Alessa and her partner head office to visit her father, Maddox (Bill Moseley) who is seemingly hiding not one but two secrets.
As the couple slowly unveil the secrets, Alessa's pregnancy continues to take a dark and gnarly turn, taking us as viewers through the current and more important backstory as to why this is not a normal pregnancy.
"The Fetus needs to be fed and if it doesn't feed, it will feed on Alessa"
The CGI use for the ever growing 'Fetus' is solid, most certainly as it grows.
The Fetus becomes a life or death battle vs Hell and the Demons trapped within.
Overall, The Fetus is a successful and well written independent horror, taking one of the genres fastest rising starts with Lauren LaVera and pairing her with an icon in Bill Moseley.
If you are a fan of Independent Horror and are following the career path of Lauren LaVera as I am then this movie is a must.
Please support The Fetus as it hits select theatres across the states.
It is an extremely enjoyable ride and I'm excited for what is next, not just for the producers but for the cast and of course, 'The Fetus'
