The final scene of 'Solomon Mikhoels'' silent film masterpiece Jewish Luck (1925) was filmed at the Odessa Steps and is used to conclude Balancing Acts. This same location, also known as The Potemkin Steps was made famous in Sergei M. Eisenstein's Battleship Potemkin (1925), also released in 1925. Eduard Tisse was the cinematographer on both of these films.
