Like last week, this episode is a little slow. It spends most of the time building this new relationship between Dexter and Harrison, and it's done very well. We also got our first introduction to our main villian of the season, played by the great Clancy Brown. His character comes off as a very charming, caring father type - much like Arthur from the original series. So I'm interested in seeing where this character goes.
I would say the slowest part of this episode is when we follow Harrison as he adapts to this new life, and we get introduced to more characters around his age. These characters may turn original fans off, as they can seem to be a bit irritating. But I liked to see Harrison has picked up a few tricks.
My biggest issue with this episode was that they killed off a character from the original show, off-screen. I don't want to spoil for anyone who has yet to see, but this bothered me. I enjoyed that character, and hoped to see more of her, but it looks like we never will.
