Leslie Bibb is praising Sam Rockwell’s monologue on The White Lotus after his special guest appearance on the HBO drama series created by Mike White.
During an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen asked Bibb if her significant other ran lines with her as they filmed the series in Thailand.
“I ran lines with him,” Bibb said on the late-night talk show. “I think that monologue is iconic and I think it’s really what the whole season is about — what Mike’s really saying there.”
Bibb said that Rockwell was shooting something in South Africa and “they came to him very last minute to do the show because we had gone long and casting had shifted.”
“He was not sure about doing it just because he didn’t have proper prep time,” she added. “So we went on safari in South Africa, and I was like,...

Another week of pondering what went down on The White Lotus.
Leslie Bibb stopped by CNN on Tuesday to discuss the most recent episode of Mike White’s HBO show that included a surprise cameo from her real-life partner of nearly 20 years, Sam Rockwell.
“He was a last minute. That came in last minute, like maybe two weeks before they were going to film it. So, it was very last minute,” she revealed. “I said to them when they offered it to him, I was like, ‘If he doesn’t do it, don’t get mad at me. And Mike’s like, ‘I’m not going to get mad at you.'”
Bibb added that she told the show’s creator-director-writer: “Please do not take it out on me. That guy has his own choice!”
Keeping Rockwell’s appearance a secret was “so stressful” to not spill “spoilers.” She continued,...

The White Lotus is back with another intense murder mystery, this time in a luxurious resort in Thailand. Season 3 resets the main cast and remains faithful to the formula of previous seasons. It follows the lives of guests and employees of the White Lotus Hotel in the days leading up to a shocking death.
Season 1, set in Hawaii, saw the playful vendetta between the White Lotus manager and a spoiled guest escalate into an accidental murder. In Season 2, returning guest Tanya McQuoid was the victim of a chilling conspiracy before falling off a yacht. The White Lotus Season 3 opens with a deadly shootout, and there's no shortage of theories about who will be this season's major casualty.

Warning: The following contains spoilers for The White Lotus season 3, episode 5, "Full Moon Party."
The White Lotus star Charlotte Le Bon reveals how Saxon's actor, Patrick Schwarzenegger, reacted to the incestuous kiss between Saxon and Lochlan Ratliff (Sam Nivola). The kiss occurs when the two brothers are invited to the full moon party by Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) and Chloe (Le Bon) in The White Lotus season 3, episode 5. During the intoxicated after-party, Chloe, who bonded with Chelsea earlier in the season over their shared experience of dating older men, challenges the brothers to a kiss.
In an interview with Vulture, Le Bon discussed the kiss. While Schwarzenegger and Nivola play brothers in the series, they are not related in real life, so it made the scene easier to film. However, she shared that although filming the scene didn't trouble Nivola, it was difficult for Schwarzenegger, whose"genuine reaction" was...

Last week, Jason Isaacs made headlines after saying that there was a “double standard” around male and female nudity onscreen: He had used a prosthetic penis in a White Lotus episode and was being asked about it incessantly, then implied women don’t face the same line of questioning. Now, the British actor is walking back his comments and apologizing for his comparisons.
“I said the wrong words in the wrong way. I used the phrase ‘double standard,’ which I didn’t mean at all,” he told Variety. “There is...

Jason Isaacs is offering clarification after saying there’s a “double standard for men” when it comes to onscreen nudity.
His character Timothy Ratliff’s full-frontal scene in season three of Mike White’s The White Lotus ignited more conversation surrounding genitalia being displayed in movies and TV shows. It was previously revealed that Isaacs used a prosthetic for the scene, however, the actor is tired of talking about it.
Last week, during an appearance on CBS Mornings, the Harry Potter actor was directly asked if he used a prosthetic, though he attempted to dodge the question. After being called out by the hosts for his non-answer, Isaacs responded, “Well, I’ll tell you why, because the best actress this year is Mikey Madison at the Oscars. And I don’t see anybody discussing her vulva, which was on [the screen] all the time … so I think it’s interesting that there...

Don't kill me, but Mickey 17reminds me of Old. You know, the M. Night Shyamalan movie about the beach that makes you old? How could this be?Mickey 17 is, like, a real movie! It follows a man named Mickey who decides to become an "Expendable," a functional human guinea pig who is (rather painfully) killed and reprinted repeatedly for the sake of medical research trials. Like many of director Bong Joon-Ho's films, Mickey 17 serves as a biting social commentary on the modern workforce and colonialism.
Meanwhile, Shyamalan is a director whose movies are similarly known for their social reflexivity, if not in a less serious fashion. Shyamalan's topical observations usually come in the form of twists, such as in his (infamously) popular modern classic, Old. In fact, there are quite a few thematic similarities between Mickey 17 and Old, despite one being one of the highest-anticipated movies...

Jason Isaacs is speaking out to take back comments that he made in response to questions about his full frontal scene on The White Lotus.
In multiple interviews last week, the 61-year-old actor was asked if he was wearing a prosthetic during that scene or if he was showing his actual anatomy.
“I think it’s interesting that there’s a double standard for men,” Jason told CBS Mornings. “But when women are naked… nobody would dream of talking to her about her genitalia or her nipples or any of those things. So, its odd that there’s a double standard.”
Jason cited Mikey Madison in Anora and Margaret Qualley in The Substance as recent instances.
Now, Jason admits he regrets the comments he made.

Netflix's new dark comedy Sirens receives a release date and unveils first-look images. Based on the 2011 play "Elemeno Pea" by Molly Smith Metzler, the upcoming limited series is fronted by Julianne Moore (Mary & George), Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus), Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon), and Kevin Bacon (MaXXXine). Set over the Labor Day weekend, Devon (Fahy) arrives on a seemingly lavish island occupied by mansions and hydrangeas to reconnect with her younger sister Simone (Alcock) but soon begins to notice the eerie signs in Simone's relationship with her new boss, Michaela Kell (Moore).
Netflix shares first-look images of Sirens, confirming the release date of the new show. The images offer a glimpse at Moore's socialite as an animal activist, philanthropist, and wife of a billionaire, who lives a completely different life from Devon. She is seen talking to a gardener, who gestures to her to keep what has been discussed between them.

Jason Isaacs is walking back a comment he made on the “White Lotus” press tour regarding his full-frontal scene and “how the sausage is made.”
In an attempt to playfully dodge questions about whether he was wearing a prosthetic or going au naturel in Season 3’s fourth episode, Isaacs told journalists that there is a “double standard” for male actors doing nude scenes and that the media “would never dream” of asking “Anora’s” Mikey Madison or “The Substance” star Margaret Qualley about their genitalia. To his dismay, his remarks made a splash online.
Clarifying his comments, Isaacs tells Variety, “I said the wrong words in the wrong way. I used the phrase ‘double standard,’ which I didn’t mean at all. There is a [different] double standard — women have been monstrously exploited and men haven’t.”

Ahead of Severance's second season finale on Friday, Gold Derby has broken down the show's Emmy potential in the top races for series and acting.
For its first season in 2022, Severance was nominated for 14 Emmys and won two craft awards, for main title design and music composition. The series ended up playing third fiddle to Succession Season 3 and Squid Game Season 1. While Succession is long gone, Squid Game is back this cycle for its second season, though the critical response was somewhat muted.
The four nominated Severance performers the last time around were Adam Scott as Mark Scout in lead actor, Patricia Arquette as Harmony Cobel in supporting actress, and John Turturro as Irving Bailiff and Christopher Walken as Burt Goodman in supporting actor. Spoilers ahead for “The White Lotus” Season 3, Episode 5.
Fans of “The White Lotus” are likely still processing Sam Rockwell’s big monologue in Episode 5. But Rockwell’s partner and fellow “White Lotus” star Leslie Bibb thinks there’s another reason why viewers should be paying close attention to his “unapologetic” appearance.
“I remember when I read all eight [episodes], and I remember when I got to this monologue and this scene,” Bibb said on “CBS Mornings” on Tuesday. “I remember thinking I had never seen anything like this before on television, and I felt like it was what Mike [White] was really trying to talk about for the show.”
She also noted that some of the big themes this season include spirituality, death, doppelgängers and mirrors.
In “Full-Moon Party,” the despondent Rick (Walton Goggins) reunites with his friend Frank (Rockwell). Initially, Rick is surprised to see that his once hard-partying drinking buddy is now sober.

Director Christopher Landon describes Drop as “suspenseful and exciting and emotional” in the new featurette below.
“The movie is like a roller coaster,” the filmmaker explains. “It’s this very gradual ascent up the ramp, and then once you get to the top, you hit that drop.”
Produced by Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes, the horror-thriller drops into theaters on April 11 from Universal.
Meghann Fahy (“The White Lotus”) and Brandon Sklenar (It Ends With Us) star as a couple on a blind first-date whose romantic dinner spirals into a deadly game of cat-and-mouse in which everyone’s a suspect.
“Violet, a widowed mother on her first date in years, arrives at an upscale restaurant where she is relieved that her date, Henry is more charming and handsome than she expected. But their chemistry begins to curdle as Violet begins being irritated and then terrorized by a series of anonymous drops to her phone.

Well, the moment everyone had seen coming but didn't really want to happen happened in The White Lotus season 3 episode 5. The drinks and drugs were flowing during the full-moon party, which led to Sax and Lochlan being dared to kiss... and they did! That's going to be a brutal hangover the next morning, even beyond the alcohol and drugs that were taken. The three women also partied extra hard with Valentin and his friends. Even though Laurie had been crushing on Valentin, and Jaclyn pushed her to make a move, it's Jaclyn who sneaks Valentin to her room for an after party.
Following up season 3 episode 5 will be a big undertaking, but keep your trust in Mike White. The season has continued to get better and better with each episode, and episode 5 lit the match for an explosive run up to the endgame. The teaser trailer for season 3 episode 6 reveals...

One of the executive producers of The White Lotus, David Bernad, is speaking to that incest storyline.
If you didn’t see the scene in question, after the Full Moon Party in season 3, episode 5, Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood), along with brothers Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola), hang out on Greg’s yacht. At one point, Saxon tells the women to kiss, and then they expect the brothers to do the same. After Saxon and Lochy share a little peck, Lochlan goes in for a much longer kiss, which appears to disorient and confuse Saxon.
Now, David was asked if there was any discussions that this scene – and perhaps future scenes – were taking it too far.

"We Will Never Do It": Why The White Lotus Season 4 Won't Feature A Certain Location Explained By EP

While The White Lotus has already visited several unique locations, it will never set foot in a significant portion of the world. The dark HBO comedy is an anthology series that focuses on a hotel chain, so each season takes place in a different part of the world. Season 1 took place in Hawaii, season 2 in Sicily, and season 3 in Thailand. The White Lotus season 4 has already been confirmed, but its exact location has not yet been named. There has been speculation that the next set of episodes could take place in a colder environment.
That colder setting is unlikely to come to pass. While appearing on The Bill Simmons Podcast, executive producer David Bernad admitted that they would likely never visit cold regions. Though "every hotel is offering to fly us" to visit different settings, White Lotus creator Mike White has no interest in visiting any cold location. Bernad admits...

Spoiler Alert !!!White Lotus Season 3 Spoilers Ahead!!!
The White Lotus has once again returned to the screens with its third season, and so far, things seem to be going as spectacularly bafflingly as ever. Of course, there are a lot of reasons behind this, though a particular one that recently caught fans off-guard was none other than Leslie Bibb’s husband Sam Rockwell, who pretty much stole the show with his debut.

In what was a really well-kept jaw-dropping surprise that had fans giving each other amusing stares, Rockwell gave a simple but crazy and nearly five-minute-long monologue about numerous issues. But as much as his cameo makes sense because of his real-life connection to Bibb, the actress claims she was scared about her husband’s casting for the same!

Why is it always HBO? The network promises great things with its shows, only to fumble after a few seasons. Mike White’s The White Lotus began as a hilarious mirror to the rich American life as they go on vacation and live in luxury hotels but in season 3, the showrunner seems to stray from the Usp of the series.
The latest season of the dark comedy is more dark than comedy and it is alienating some of the hardcore fans of the show. The White Lotus is an anthology series, with each season setting up different characters in a different branch of the eponymous luxury chain. However, there are no Tanyas or Armonds to give some much-needed laughs this time.

Netflix’s ‘The Last Kingdom’ has carved out a reputation that places it among the greats, with some even calling it “one of the best in history.” Fans can’t help but draw comparisons to the legendary ‘Game of Thrones,’ and while HBO’s ‘House of the Dragon’ attempts to rekindle the magic of its predecessor, many argue that ‘The Last Kingdom’ already does it and perhaps even better.

HBO's hit anthology satire The White Lotusis currently airing its third season, sending fans across the world abuzz with theories about the show's complex characters and central murder mystery. Each season of the dark comedy, which aims to tackle the implications of tourism and class disparity, is set at a different hotel from the titular resort chain.
However, despite the overt anti-tourism messaging of The White Lotus, the locations at which the ever-popular show was shot are reporting more tourism than ever in what is now being dubbed "The White Lotus effect." This phenomenon predominantly affects Four Seasons Resorts in Hawaii and Sicily, the settings for Seasons 1 and 2 of The White Lotus, respectively. The current season, which is based in Thailand, is satirizing the Western commodification of spirituality. Many are increasingly concerned that the cultural prevalence of The White Lotus will create over-tourism in Thailand, having an ironic and potentially devastating impact.

If you’ve been reading TVLine’s recaps of The Voice for any amount of time, you know how rare it is to get through a night of Battles without your friendly neighborhood recapper being like “Wth?” over a coach’s decision. But that was exactly what happened Monday. Though I might have gone with the singer who was eliminated in the third face-off, I wasn’t mad about who stayed. What about you? Do you agree that the coaches kinda got it right across the board? Before you hit the comments, let’s go over the evening’s Battles.

Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers for Season 3, Episode 5 of “The White Lotus,” now streaming on Max.
“The White Lotus” Season 3 officially crossed over into incest territory during its fifth episode, which featured brothers Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola) locking lips during a drug trip on a yacht. Many viewers had already been clocking an incest-like vibe between the siblings, but it wasn’t until Episode 5 that the show took things to a physical level. Executive producer David Bernad stressed to the New York Post that the incest kiss was “not just for shock” value.
“That’s all [creator Mike White],” Bernad said. “Mike is brilliant, and I think those big story turns are not just for shock. There’s a specific reason in terms of the narrative storytelling, and the larger thematic idea Mike is trying to get across.”

Note: This story contains spoilers from “The White Lotus” Season 3, Episode 5.
While some viewers found the first four episodes of “The White Lotus” Season 3 on the slower side, Mike White’s anthology series ramped up with an explosive Episode 5, that took the season exactly where some fans were thinking.
After much of the guests spent their day on Greg/Gary’s yacht in Episode 4, Episode 5 sees the group filter off, with brothers Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola) heading to the full moon party with Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) and Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon), whose boyfriends have both chosen not to join in on the festivities.
After a fair amount of drinking and some drugs — which some fans found reminiscent of HBO’s “Euphoria” — the group took turns kissing each other — including brothers Saxon and Lochlan, sending social media into a frenzy.

This post contains spoilers from The White Lotus season 3 episode 5 from this point forward.
Where do we even begin after an episode like That? The White Lotus season 3 episode 5 really went there after teasing some odd sexual tension between two particular characters since the very first episode. Of course, we're talking about the incestuous kiss everyone is talking about, another unexpected surprise out of the Ratliff family after last week's cringe-inducing full-frontal moment.
The new episode found most of the characters getting up to no good under a full moon, bringing forth possibly the most fast-paced episode of the season so far. From kisses to an Academy Award winner making a cameo that we won't soon forget, "Full-Moon Party" delivered everything The White Lotus has become known for and then some (emphasis on "and then some").

HBO’s anthology series, The White Lotus, has captured viewers with its biting commentary on privilege, wealth, and social hypocrisy. Set at the luxurious White Lotus resorts, the series follows a new group of wealthy guests each season, who ultimately reveal their worst impulses. Whether in Maui, Sicily or the latest season in Thailand, the show expertly critiques the self-absorbed elites.

Among its most divisive characters, Sydney Sweeney’s Olivia Mossbacher embodies the worst excesses of entitled youth. When fan-casting Marvel's X-Men, there are some actors who are widely thought of for certain roles. For example, Daniel Radcliffe has long been a top choice to play Logan/James Howlett/Wolverine. However, one enduring actor-character match is Jason Isaacs as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto. Isaacs has a long history of playing complex villainous characters in projects such as The Patriot, the Harry Potter franchise, Peter Pan, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and more. Moreover, the actor shares a Jewish background with Magneto, which is a core element of his story and contributes significantly to his motivations.
Recently, he acknowledged the popular fan cast for the first time. In an episode of Vanity Fair Game Show alongside his The White Lotus costars, Isaacs was tasked with seeing how well they knew him by guessing his answers to questions provided by the producers. He prompted the others with "online there is a...

So far, there is only one character who appears in every season of The White Lotus — Greg, who is now going by Gary in Season 3. We know Greg as the scheming and downright murderous former husband to the beloved Tanya McQuoid (the legendary Jennifer Coolidge). In Season 1, he weaseled his way into her heart. In Season 2, he bailed on her in Italy but secretly arranged for her murder. In Season 3, we find him living in Thailand at a house near the White Lotus resort, dating a "model" (the delightful Charlotte Le Bon). When another character from Season 1, Tanya's potential business partner Belinda (the hilarious Natasha Rothwell), shows up at the Thailand White Lotus resort and recognizes Greg, she begins to fear for her own life.
Greg/Gary is a scary jerk, probably the most explicitly villainous character in Mike White's show, but he's played by an extremely funny man — Jon Gries.
