Cash Markman, a porn writer long before he began directing, who often used the pseudonym of Bill Dollars on the script jobs he took just for the money, loved to poke fun at himself in his own writing. The on-screen character of Bill Dollars, usually portrayed as a no-talent burned-out porn hack with delusions of literary greatness, was first played by Randy West for the comedy "In the Can." Buck Adams played him once, for "Lather." Mike Horner took the role for "Ecstacy" and "Shana's Final Fling." All had been directed by Scotty Fox. Now that Markman was directing, he brought back his favorite Dollars, Mike Horner, to mock the career and fragile ego of a writer of porn. At one point Dollars/Horner lovingly caresses and kisses the head of a phallic-shaped award he has won called a "Golden Dickie."
