Before I watched the movie, I thought that most reviewers were being mean with no reason when they gave 3 stars rating. Or even 1! But, boy! I can never be more wrong. The story had potential to be a good drama, but it went bland and boring! And the two lead actors blew it. Bella Thorne's acting was weak. What happened to her?! She used to be better at acting. Benjamin Mascolo didn't help either, he's actually worse than Bella. His acting is so wooden most of the time. Over all... this movie blows. I don't wanna be mean, so I gave it 5 stars, when I should've given it lower.
  • Look the cinematography and chemistry for this film were pretty good. Rome can never look bad on camera, and there's obviously chemistry between the two main characters because they're engaged in real life. Other than that the story was so badly chopped up and the acting was mediocre at best. I like Bella, but this was not one of her best.

I'm also not going to lie, I had to skip forward a lot because there's so many aerial shots and montages that just make it seem like the script wasn't long enough to be a whole movie so they insert too much random drone footage of cities.

It's corny, flat and easily predictable. The story is stupid, outdated, repetitive and cheesy. Screenplay is weak. With all its flaws, it's one of those guilty pleasure movies that are bad but also enjoyable.
  • When reading these reviews is more interesting than the film it says a lot! So so so slow, all the men look the same. To boring to even know what is going on!
  • The cast: You could tell with whom Bella was comfortable with, but most of the time she was stiff and acted like a robot. The others weren't better either. But it could've been the bad writing though.

The story: the usual bad boy meets good girl thing. What more to tell? Lots of scenes put together, without an actual red thread.

    As it's a voltage production I assume it's a fanfic adaptation?!

Overall, don't waste your time on this predictable movie!
  • If you look at the script by itself, it is not great and completely sophomoric, but not horrible. It is somewhat passable, albeit vapid and age old. A young woman's perfect little world is turned upside down by lies, a boy who feels like a failure even when he isn't really, but he can't shake the feeling. In the hands of a different Director, Editor and Music Director, this could have worked much better. Would have helped to have better actors too, and the constant use of soap opera music takes it to an unnecessarily absurd level of childishness.

The childish use of music and glamour shots overwhelms the entire story and thus film.

In the right hands, Bella Thorne can be a quite powerful onscreen performer, but she can't carry a film if not handled correctly it seems. Pretty as he is, the lead Roy character, is not a strong enough actor for the part. He's just bad, sorry. His dad is not much better, nor is the boyfriend Steve, nor the swimming coach. Surely they must have been classmates of the Director, and/or family.

Perhaps it was really made for 12 year olds, then perhaps it wasn't as sophomorically idiotic as it seemed! It just hit its audience. Otherwise, it is just sadly childish.
  • Horrible. Jumps all over. Tries to include all the cliche romance/drama aspects of a film, but fails miserably, because nothing lands smoothly. It just smashes head long into the pavement. Kinda like your expecting Bella's character to do (in accordance with the movie trailer); and yet, here we are, an hour in and still no traffic accident with 48 agonizing mins to go. All your asking at this point is, "What the heck is going on?"; but, more importantly, "Why am I still watching this?" And, that's when she gets hit by the wayward vehicle. So, you figure you'll stay a little longer, in hopes that this crap shoot of a movie will somehow get better. I'm here to tell you, "Don't bother".
  • I haven't seen anything this bad in a while. The acting was really juvenile. God bless the actors, at least they were all very pretty. The story was terrible and was barely coherent. I don't know who edited it but it jumped all over. The description made it sound like some kind science fiction/ time / quantum jump movie with a romantic plot but it was just high school drama. Speaking of high school, why not put these kids in college at least?

    It was bad.
  • I decided to watch this film, with a friend of mine, because I am Italian and I know Benjamin as a singer, in fact he is italian: he is cool as always and I also really like the couple very much, because they are engaged also in the real life. The story of the film is quite nice, maybe a bit monotonous, in fact I have already seen in the past several films where the girl has memory lapses, but it is quite intriguing and interesting, it makes you to want to keep watching it. The only problem I have encountered is that at numerous points certain passages between two scenes are not clear there is no logical thread a lot of time is wasted trying to understand what happened, if it is a dream or if it is reality. In conclusion the film is not bad, very romantic and loving, but probably I would not watch it again.
  • This movie was so bad. I actually feel dumber.

If I had three wishes, I would wish for world peace, a billion dollars, and to go back in time to stop this movie from ever being made. The story was insanely boring and terribly written, the acting was laughably atrocious and I skipped ahead through at least half. I'm pretty sure my nightstand lamp has more acting talent than what i just saw. If you're looking for an enormous waste of time, and to lose half of your cognitive ability, this is the film for you..
  • I watched this movie just to see if it was as bad as everyone said. I was expecting it to be and I actually loved it. I'd watch it again. I loved the story. I loved how they didn't do a typical "person hers memory back" route. It was more about the fantastic day as it was happening. I appreciate that they did make us relive the day in pieces and then have to put it together. Letting us experience it with them made it all the more magical. Ok some of the acting was cringe, but boy was Roy a total cutie patootie! Like a tattooed Sterling Archer in human form!

For a direct to streaming movie this was better than most of the reviews made me think it would be. Could it have been better, oh heck yes! The title doesn't fit, it should have been different.
  • I'd honestly rather watch almost any movie with commercials I can fast forward through than have my eardrums blasted by the musical interludes and the low volume/poor quality voice content.

Literally had me keeping my fingers on the volume control constantly.

The sound crew and whoever passed off on what they did should never work again...
  • I'm not saying this is War and Peace, but you have to take it in the context and within the genre it was meant.

The overall story is about Vivian who is in a relationship with Steve. Steve is popular and a swimmer and everything a girl should want, except everything might not be perfect with their picture perfect high school relationship. Roy is a tattooed half Italian kid from the trailer park (aka rougher side of town). He is struggling to keep his spot on the swim team and get scholarships to go to college. Roy generally sneaks into the pool at night to practice, which is how he discovers Steve's secret. Steve is having a relationship with their swim coach, Dylan. Vivian catches her mom having an affair, only to discover that her parents have actually been separated for six months and just lying to her so they won't mess up her chance to do well on her exams and get in to college. Freaked out by this news and Steve's absence, Vivian blows off her exam. Then she parties hard at her friend's house. Then feeling a little chagrined, and wanting to get out of her house, she decides to surprise Steve in Rome where the team has gone for a swim meet. There while waiting for Steve to show up, Vivian and Roy go out to share a fun day sightseeing in Rome that leads to a kiss. When she finally finds Steve he's in bed with Dylan. Vivian runs out of the hotel and ends up getting hit by a car putting her initially in a coma and then leaving her with short term memory loss. Will she remember Steve's betrayal or her romantic day with Roy?

This was a fun and colorful teen romance, filled with the usual brooding scenes and lots of angst. What sets it apart is the gorgeous Rome setting, some of the great clothes (loved Vivian's deep blue dress and pale blue scarf she wears in Rome), and the two gorgeous leads...Bella Thorne and Benjamin Mascolo. These two are like fire together. Sexy with tons of great photographable images, this teen romance does what it promises...it satisfies the young and romantic at heart.

The plot is put together in the most awkward way. Not sure if the editor is just bad, or they had very little to work with. Some cuts just don't make any sense.

The dialogue is flat and cheesy and extremely unconvincing.

Also, were they in high-school? College? The girl was in high-school and the guys in college? Unclear.

There are other teen love stories that are just made better. Feel free to pass this one.

On an unrelated point, the female lead seem to have some surgery done. It's none of my business of course, but it seem to have affected her speech and at times it was hard to understand what she was saying because her mouth barely moved.
  • When you conjoin the three words: Bella Thorne Movie - you think you know what to expect. I was fooled again - it was just as bad as I thought it would be.

I was amazed how rapidly they took the lead protagonist from spouting Quantum theory nonsense to running around in her underwear. If it was supposed to be a parody then it totally escaped me - if it was supposed to be serious then it failed.

    Warning: Spoilers
Nothing much happens in this movie. In a nutshell it's the old cliché where a girl realizes she's with the wrong guy who's cheating on her and after an accident comes to her senses and realizes she should be with the guy from a trailer park. There's not a lot of character development.

In between there are lots of shots of Bella Thorne but it can't carry the picture.

Surprisingly they got the quantum physics part right, except where Bella's character says quantum physics is easy. No, it's really hard.

The whole story can be summarized in two sentences. The girl is in love and she finds out her boyfriend is gay. She falls in love with boyfriend's mucho, tattoed, poor swimming rival who lives in a caravan and they live happily ever after.
  • I used to say that I'd see any movie with Bella Thorne in it. She's cool. She's a good actress. And she plays interesting roles. In this movie she plays and extremely ordinary overdone character.

It's supposed to be a high school romance. I think they're in high school. You never see them going to any classes, but they talk about getting into college. Bella is dating one guy, and yet another guy captures her attention. You know it's going to end with one of them holding hands as they walk into the sunset. But which guy will she be with?

She has an accident an is in a coma. When she awakes she has forgotten some events including a key outing with one of the young men. Will she remember?

I will never watch a Bella Thorne movie again just because Bella is in it. From this day forward I will check to see what the movie is about, read the reviews and carefully consider whether I should watch it.
  • Its so weird how these 2 are a couple yet the chemistry they have on film is so bad and ackward.

The story itself was good and kept me watching.

The acting by all the guys just seemed soo bad

    5.1.
  • Some reviews here are just exaggerated... I've seen a lot of 1-3 starts which gave me the e impression that it will be completely terrible. Not gonna lie tho, some scenes have some "unnatural" acting. Which I assume those reviews are talking about. But the story is nice and apart from those 3-4 terribly acted scenes, the movie is quite solid. I enjoyed it.
  • This movie is not capturing, the script was seen before in other moviesfrom the past. The actors seemed unprofessional therfore not a film I would recommend.

After reading the reviews I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Annoyed there wasn't more of a conversation after she found out but love is love right.

I watched this movie because my friend recommended it. I am not sure if I regret watching it. It wasn't terrible- there were some pretty good scenes and moments, but the movie itself is a little boring. You can predict everything that will happen without really using your brain. It is a regular teenager romance movie. I'm not saying that this is a bad thing, but it is just not for me. The movie is directed to young teenagers that experience their first 'love'. The plot was not anything new. I rated it 7/10 just because I watched the second part of the movie- 'Game of Love'- which was much worse.
  • Wow. Where do I begin? The extremely tastless music? The inchorecency? Dreadful acting? Aweful sound quality? This movie seems to lack any personality whatsoever. I normally finish every movie I start no matter how bad, but I gave up on this after 20 minutes. Skip it.
