The news program that gives news about the murders on TV is called "KNKnews". KNK is the acronym for Kara No Kyoukai.

In this final film, it is shown that Mikiya and Shiki end up as a couple. On August 8, 2011, Maaya Sakamoto who plays Shiki Ryogi, married with the voice actor and frequent co-star Ken'ichi Suzumura who plays Mikiya Kokutou. She announced their marriage on her official site five days later.

While at Awa Odori Festival several posters from the film series were stolen and put up for auction online. The posters were sold for 83,000 - 93,000 yen (~$1,000) at the auction.

The official Japanese website had announced that the series will be shipped on Blu-ray with a new chapter, Kara no Kyoukai, in English and Japanese subtitles with a retail price of 52,500 yen (about US$620). A DVD of the said chapter was released on February 2, 2011. Aniplex of America released the imported Blu-ray box set on February 8, 2011. The box was immediately sold out and has not been reissued since.

One scene shows a destroyed bridge, the bridge is the one that destroyed Fujino Asagami in Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners - Remaining Sense of Pain (2008)
