Eight years after the Joker's reign of anarchy, Batman, with the help of the enigmatic Catwoman, is forced from his exile to save Gotham City, now on the edge of total annihilation, from the brutal guerrilla terrorist Bane.
(at around 48 mins) The only Batman film where Batman never uses his grapple gun to lift himself. Batman uses it only once, for saving the stock exchange man from the motorcycle.

(at around 2 mins) When on the plane the CIA Op, attempting to get information out of Bane's men, fires a handgun near the head of one of the men; however, the slide on the automatic does not move despite the sound of the gun firing, nor is a spent shell seen ejecting from the gun.
This film features a new DC Comics logo.
On IMAX 70mm prints of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011), this film's prologue was shown as a special preview. It contained, with only one exception, entirely different takes of Bane's dialogue.
