PG-13 | | Action, Thriller
Eight years after the Joker's reign of anarchy, Batman, with the help of the enigmatic Catwoman, is forced from his exile to save Gotham City, now on the edge of total annihilation, from the brutal guerrilla terrorist Bane.
During one of the scenes involving the kangaroo court, Bane can be seen sitting in the rear of the courtroom quietly knitting. Given the numerous allusions to Charles Dickens' "A Tale of Two Cities" in the film, this is presumably an allusion to Madame Defarge and her practice of knitting while watching public guillotine executions.
I knew Harvey Dent. I was his friend. And it will be a very long time before someone... inspires us the way he did. I believed in Harvey Dent.
(at around 37 mins) As Bruce Wayne is meeting with Fox at his desk, his hand alternates between the top and the staff of his cane.
The Batman symbol is made of ice, and cracks as it zooms into the screen.
On IMAX 70mm prints of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011), this film's prologue was shown as a special preview. It contained, with only one exception, entirely different takes of Bane's dialogue.
