PG-13 | | Adventure, Fantasy
The ancient war between humans and a race of giants is reignited when Jack, a young farmhand fighting for a kingdom and the love of a princess, opens a gateway between the two worlds.
Bryan Singer had to tone down the VFX to keep the film age-appropriate for children.
This is a terrible idea.
Jack: Have you ever killed a giant before?
Elmont: And you've killed, what, one? Which makes you an expert now?
Upon becoming the giant king, Fallon sows more beans in the top of a waterfall. The resulting stalks grow downwards allowing the giants to descend to Earth and attack the human army - but there is no water crashing down from the waterfall above.
The Bad Hat Harry logo contains silhouettes of giants, who are first seen from a human point-of-view (their feet are seen stomping around) before they seen in their entirety.
German version was cut for violence (Fallon getting hit by arrows in the face and burning) to secure a "Not under 12" rating.
