  • Vivica A, Fox in another "Wrong" movie. Doesn't she ever get tired of doing them? It's the same kind of plot where at the end she always says- "You picked the wrong...." this time it's a con man masquerading as a prince but he's definitely easy on the eyes and Vivica's lawyer falls for him. Big mistake! I was disappointed that she didn't figure him out sooner. Still, for Lifetime, it wasn't all that bad!

"Girl, who wouldn't fall for a prince?" You gotta love Vivica A. Fox. I seriously believe the woman films these Lifetime "Wrong" roles simultaneously. I mean how else is she able to star in 15 "Wrong" Lifetime-rs in the past three years.

Anyway, 2021's The Wrong Prince Charming is my latest write-up. And no, I'm not talking about Prince Nikolai, Prince William, or younger brother Prince Harry. "Prince Charming" is about a young realtor who along with her older colleague, meet a famed prince. They decide to invest millions of dollars with said prince only to find that the dude is an evil scam artist who doesn't really have an English accent (oops). To make matters worse, the realtor (Anna played by Christine Prosperi) gets romantically involved with Prince Edward (played by James Nitti). Business and pleasure just don't mix here people.

Shot on maybe two locations (a hotel and an office space) and featuring acting that's a tad stodgy, "Prince Charming" could've been much worse. This is David DeCoteau branching out a bit. He's the king of Lifetime "Wrongs" but he avoids the standard, boy-meets-girl plot devices and gives us something a little more archetypal. He gets points for that.

Yeah The Wrong Prince Charming is entertaining, unfolding, and involving. However, you have to suspend your disbelief. "Prince Charming" is a small scale Lifetime pic devoid of details and true, real-life situations. I mean it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Prince Edward is not really royalty (he's got no entourage, no portfolio, and just one slimy guy working with him). And it takes Anna more than half the flick's running time to come to that conclusion (all you gotta do is look closer on the Internet girl). Oh well, at least Vivica gets to be her responsible self while spouting her famous Lifetime sendoff ("I guess you picked the wrrrrongg prince charming"). Rating: 2.5 stars.
  • Not the best movie but entertaining. The plot was different which helped a lot. Fake prince money scam...not bad. A number of stupid but forgivable moments. The whole mph vs kph was dumb. Nice ending as far as the knife scene. And pleasantly predicable final scene. There was a shot of the sun rising. It must have been filmed reverse or in Australia since the sun doesn't rise to the left north of the equator.

I'm watching now. First off..in most of the "Wrong" movies, Vivica is a side player and is not terribly involved in the plot. So this dude is scamming her also..which is not the norm. Most of her "Wrong" characters are savvy enough to see through some of the obvious signs. Second, the kilometers vs. Miles thing. While I do think it's strange that he would use miles, the way they tried to wave it off...if he understands miles and if he's spent soooo much time in the US, then why didn't he know what a sub sandwich was? Or the idiom that Vivica used early on?

I agree w/another reviewer...he has this one creepy side guy. No entourage as you'd expect from royalty, so that should have rattled Vivica and the lawyer's suspicions. He should have had at least a couple of attendants. I also hated how she sold her best friend out by spilling her suspicions. I have no doubt her friend is going to end up dead.

This is not a good one. Sometimes the suspense is there so you can sit for two hours, but even being the audience and knowing everything, there should just be some things that a "lawyer" who presumably understands logic and critical thinking should not be falling for. The amount of money they're investing (being scammed out of)? Vivica's character needs a new chief counsel. Terrible judgment. I wish they didn't kill his "original" victim off. She should have been the one to dole out his justice.

I don't recommend this one. There's too much stupid present. Even down to Anna not wanting to stay w/Vivica after her life was threatened. I just can't.

Lastly, Vivica's classic line seems a bit insensitive in this one given the timing of when it's said. You'll see what I mean!
  • The remarkable thing about the wrong lifetime movies is that even though they all reuse the same predictable, tired plot over and over and over again until you can pretty much guess every single minute of the movie... They're still entertaining. At least, Vivica is. This movie needed more Vivica. She is truly talented.
  • A good but average movie. The wrong lifetime movies used to be extraordinary, memorable. The whole story lacks an element of surprise. From the very beginning it is clear who the villain is, his every step can be easily predicted. The end of the movie is predictable-again
  • This movie isn't just for us to watch and go to bed. People forget what Lifetime is. It's a network about life lessons for young and single women, and wives, and mothers. Whoever. Who cares if the film is predictable or typical ending. It's not meant to be a mystery. It's meant to show the increasing signs of relationship abuse or fraud or danger that threatens everyday women's lives, or based on true stories of unique women that overcame a crazy situation (from being stalked to being scammed). So the actresses are stupid because the male characters are obvious. Great. I'm glad that you can spot the tell tale signs of a bad guy or woman and won't have to worry. But many women still need to watch these movies. Stop falling for handsome men, just because they're handsome. They pop up out of nowhere and their word means nothing, usually. This movie reminds me that there's scammers out there and the Wrong movies remind me as a single woman to be careful! I love them. Now as far as being movies, I love them too because they're entertaining. I agree that there should be more Vivica lol. Negative one star because it's not a perfect film. Negative one for the lead Cristina actress, and another negative one for not enough Vivica.
