PG-13 | | Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, must push herself beyond her limits when she discovers the island where her father disappeared.
The film's plot is loosely based on the 2013 reboot of the video game series, Tomb Raider (2013). It also shares some minor elements of Crystal Dynamics' sequel game, Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015).
Lord Richard Croft:
May 17th, 2009. Further research on Himiko. According to legend, Himiko, the first queen of Japan was a powerful sorceress who ruled the empire through dark magic. Spreading death and destruction by the mere touch of her hand. She was only stopped ...
Lara's father has been missing for 7 years. Yet when she finds his research cave it's perfectly clean. After 7 years it would be dusty and dirty.
SPOILER: The title doesn't appear on screen until the end of the film. Following this is a brief scene of Lara returning to the pawn shop where she sold her pendant earlier in the film. She then purchases two guns, implying she will continue the fight in sequel films (a brief clip of this scene appeared in the first trailer for the movie).
